| "RING" games Hey all, what does the "ring" come from in ring games? I decided to get away from all the sit-n-goes and MTT tourneys for a day and made more money in the three hours the tourneys take, than i make in the small stakes tourneys. )I really liked the more serious attitude, no all-in donks (right away) ), and a chance to practiice reading other players without being moved to another table every 15 minutes. I'm trying to get some "ivey" tickets and complete some Full Tilt academy challenges. Just poking around today, thanks for any replies. PJ |

| Maybe because the players sitting around the table form a toroidal shape? toroid - torus: a ring-shaped surface In a cash game, when a player leaves, another fills his place, keeping the ring intact. However in a freezeout, the ring will sometimes break down and have gaps. That's my best guess. |
