Was it the right fold ? Hello fellows,i was playing online at Heracasino in a tourney a few months ago i was chip leader at the time with about 60k and was in a pot with the 2nd leader( about 40k) and one other who was sitting with about 10-15k. 10-15k is in bb 40k in middle position makes a small raise. i call from the buttton with a 3d5d. this may have been a questionable call but i figured i could try to steal it with position if given the chance. bb calls. fyi...blinds are somewhere around 500 and 1k. flop comes 2d4d10h. bb shoves all in. middle position shoves all in over the top. and i'm left sitting with my jaw dropped and an open ended straight flush draw. i thought about it for a minute or so and eventually folded fearing someone might have something like Ad10d or Kd10d and that if i only hit the flush not the straight flush i'm pretty screwed with a 5 high flush. bb shows A10 off no diamonds, middle position shows pocket queens no diamonds. and i'm kicking my self under the table. no diamonds came, however i would have back doored trip 5's. at the end of the day i guess i went on to take first in the tourney so it doesn't really matter, but it's been one of those hands that has haunted me as far as wondering if i should have called. what do you think?

Against the exact hand Ad10d your a big dog. Against a big 10 (A10/K10 suited and unsuited) its a flip. Their ranges are probably larger but because there were two of them who commited before you it's probs a good fold. Oh and get Pokerstove, it's free and it makes wondering about these things a lot easier. You can imput hands against each other or a range of hands against a range etc. Really useful. If you specifically wanted your hand against those hands you have it.

What a confusing hand. Honestly with them limping, they could have had anything, set, two pair, trips, overpair, and of course a flush draw i suppose. Honestly I think it was a good laydown, 5 high flush is not something you want to shoot for. Someone could have had the ace high flush draw and you would have been down to hitting the 6d, which is like a 5 percent hand from the flop.
