Response from Absolute regarding online gambling ban concerns

Thank you for contacting us.

As the 4th largest online poker company we continue to welcome all Poker Players! AbsolutePoker.com is Absolutely confident in its ability to continue to offer United States customers the very best in Online Poker with the fastest secure deposit and payout solutions, all new and existing customers should be 100% confident in playing with the very best www.AbsolutePoker.com.

Importantly Absolute Poker is a privately held operation, which gives our business model more flexibility and creativity in operating that our publicly held counterparts don’t have. Furthermore, the Safe Ports Act passed by the U.S. Congress on September 30th neither prohibits nor makes it illegal for any U.S. customer to transact with AbsolutePoker.com and therefore customers experience at AbsolutePoker.com will not change. Our business continues to run as normal and our executive team expects to see the business continue to grow in both the short and long term.

We are exploring all of our options with our existing payment processors and ensure any existing or new customer that your funds are safe and secure. Indications are that many of our payment providers will be unaffected by this law and their business will also be able to operate uninterrupted and unimpeded.

We are confident that our business, and that of our partners and suppliers, will be unaffected because while the efforts of the U.S. Congress could potentially block transactions conducted within the U.S. banking system, many of our payment providers transactions are done within the framework of the international banking system, which the U.S. Congress has no control over.

We will have continued updates and assessments of this situation, but we are confident again that you will be able to continue to enjoy all of the offerings at AbsolutePoker.com as you always have. We look forward to having you as a customer, and being a part of our site as we grow and experience new heights in the years to come.

As an existing Absolute Poker player take advantage of the most reload bonus days per month! Sign up today and play in our 100K Weekly Tournament (with FreeRoll Qualifiers), the best and most frequent bonuses, Pro Bounty tournaments with The Grinder, Mark Seif, Sean McCabe and Lacey Jones, and guaranteed WSOP 2007 Satellites that are running now!

Thanks for playing at Absolute Poker! If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We're here for you!

Sincerely,

Paola

I'm encouraged by what Absolute Poker has to say opposed to 888 and Party.

Absolute PokerAbsolute Poker offers online poker games to US players with a $500 sign up bonus.

PPParty Poker is the premier online poker games site. The Party Poker bonus codes like CC500 offer a special $500 deposit bonus.

I think another reason that 888 and Party have responded the way they have is because they are publicly held in London. There will be plenty of reputable sites that exist in other countries that will continue to serve American players.

There is SO much opposition to these bills that I cant see that happening. There will always be loopholes.

I sure hope your right. When the U.S. government starts restricting the sites our ISPs allow us to see and use, that's some totalitarian bullshit right there.
