Reported for botting??

Haha im not sure if this is a automatic random thing but if not someone on my tables reported me as a bot?? Haha.

I had this happen one time before. I was on a great run of cards in a small buy in tourney. most of the time I ignore chat, so I am sure somebody clicked the call moderator button in the options.

it's jsut a random check they do, like a drug test, to random players at random times i think. More to the issue though, why are you limping a,j as chip leader?

AJ how do you get your PT3 stats like that mine has the names on and its soo annoying because it overlaps my call/raise button

Its in Configure ---> Configure HUD stats. Then you just double click the stuff you want to be showed or not.

What is shown there and why do you select them and what do they mean in terms of categorising players??

you're play must have triggered a bot check...maybe its the tracker program slowing you down or the extra time you take looking over the stats
- why is it that you cant use a bot but are able to use pokertracker?? i think pokertracker should be illegal .

One time I saw a bot at the Full Tilt 5/10 play money tables. He had over 1 million chips in play and the max buy in is only 1000. People told me he had been playing for days straight.

lol I was accused of being a bot once. Guy went through all our players to see how many tables we were playing and was like "you're all bots, Zach's at 12, Bob's at 16, Joe's at 8, Jeff and I are the only 2 who aren't bots here".

Of course I didn't want to spoil his fun so I didn't respond .

wow thats the first i heard of that ..i usually ignore the chat ...you must of been doin really well and hitting some sick cards to be considered a bot lol ...id feel great if someone thought i was a bot

I had this also happen. I rarely have the chat window open, I just click on the info tab and the same type of message just popped up.
What would happen if you don't type it correctly, anyone know?

i have had that pop up on me a couple of times at ps. I don't chat much so i quess people think i'm a bot

It's a completely random check.

Why do people assume a bot would play well? Now if you've been at the same table for 24 hours, maybe people have the right to be suspicious, but winning actually decreases your likelihood of being a bot.

I got that once when i was doing the sagan horse freeroll after winning 50 out of 55 hands i played in the first hour. My code was xoserx.

being mistaken for a bot is great, it proves your a very patient player i guess...

I have had others tell me that's happened to them, usually when playing more table than once. They said that they seem to react out of automatic impulse to their cards and react that way on every table.

I wish I could get that message sometime.

What do they do when you have your chat banned and you can't type what you see into the chat window?

a year or two ago ub had a promotion to cash in your ub points for like 5 cents or something i forget and i multitabled 1/2 cent tables and played supertight...i lost money playing but made like 200 a week from the points..they froze my account and i had to email them telling them i wasnt a bot ..that i was working my ass and fingers off to make it to the top level and if they didnt offer the cash in deal i wouldnt have played like a bot....i was playing 12-14 hours a day...they unfroze my account ... there were lots of others playing even more than me...

I've always heard that bots have trouble with no limit. I'm pretty sure that I've identified a few but didn't report them. The bots may have been not of the highest quality, but they would fold just about anything with a >3.5 X BB raise, and never raised more than a min raise.....easy to capitalize on.

it will give you several opportunities to type correctly. Sometimes the code is jumbled together and hard to make out certain characters, also the characters are NOT case sensitive.

That is just crazy, I have never heard of a bot player, it seems wierd to me that someone would beable to use a bot, or whatever, to play. I guess there is a whole lot I have to learn about online poker.

I honestly don't remember where I read the article, I think it was Card Player monthly, they were doing an article on poker bots and interviewing a few poker site techs and there had been some big to do about Poker Stars and Absolute being the easiest sites to bot on because of lax security or something so Absolute said they now do more updates to try to keep up with the technological savvy of the people creating the bots and Poker Stars stated that they do random player checks and if you get certain runs and wins they will also do the check for that because bots can't decode the wording things. Was a pretty interesting article on what sites were more lax about it then others.

The last and only time I saw one of those was at a SNG, never at the rings. I'm not sure how players get chosen, other than the fact that I hadn't typed anything in the chat and played extremely tight. I really wonder if someone at a table can call a mod if they're suspicious and they'll test you out though.

well tell us... are you a bot?? lol. Thats crazy, you must have been makeing very quick decisions or playing on a crazy amount of tables for someone to report you... or you were winning there money. . Well, hopefully you didnt get into any trouble, GL!

I just gotta say wow at the fact you can get a bot to play poker for you, i have created bots for irc before and what not and to trust a piece of software to play my game is just what id never do......imagine it goes on bot tilt lol
