Repeal the Online Gaming act!

Howdy folks. Nice forum!

I'm a long time online player. I mostly play holdem, with some PL Omaha thrown in for variety.

There's a great article on Gambling911 asking for poker players to support Ron Paul for prez. He fought the online gaming act as a congressman and will work to repeal it as president.

Read the full article here:

Ron Paul in for Long Haul With Martin Luther King Day Money Bomb Planned

Please spread the word around about this guy, or we are going to end up losing our game(s) or becoming criminals.

Thanks a bunch!

Regards,

Jim

That's no excuse.

He has no chance so go ahead and waste your time and effort. And I'm sure I'll here from everyone, but I'll start listening after the election. NO CHANCE IN HALE

He has no chance if we think he has no chance. Besides, aren't the primaries exactly when you get to support the guy you want to win, whether or not you think he can win?

Lol no one said not to support your man. I'm just letting you know, he has absolutely NO CHANCE. zero zilch. wow did you watch the last debate. And yes it's open, but it's like when the dolphins were playing the patriots. Absolutely NO CHANCE, but if you're a dolphin fan more power to you go for your team. Still won't change the outcome lol

Oh yeah just one more thing. Presidents don't make laws, Congress does. So if you're wanting this guy to Repeal the Online Gaming act, then he needs to stay in Congress

The Prez can pressure congress a bit.

And he is also charged with overseeing the enforcement of laws like this. Ron Paul's priorities will be elsewhere.

And he can win. He needs to polish up his act a little, but he shoved that blind side hit question right up Carl Cameron's ass in the last debate. hehehe

Well I guess we see if he gets the nomination. But hey if not he could win as an independant lol. I'll look forward to telling you I told you so at a later date. And if you think that anyone is going to get in office and have the online gaming act at the top of their list to fix. Well that would explain why you think Ron Paul has a chance

If 10 million American online poker players go behind him, repealing the act would be right up there.

You just made my point right there. And what's funny is that you don't know it.

What is your point? And why, if it is so hopeless, do you waste your time on this thread?

I'm a long time player, and I don't like the act. I am also a long time Ron Paul supporter and he is changing the topic of debate in this country. If that is all he accomplishes, he wins.

Let's see how much you really support him. I'll bet any amount of money that you choose. I say Ron Paul doesn't get Republican Nomination. Loser transfers the other the amount to the winners Full Tilt account. How much would you like to bet?

Supporting someone isn't the same and thinking they'll win snrcreech. + I'd never thought I'd ever even consider voting Republican (I am a US citizen I can vote I fink) but I could see myself voting RP.

If you'll read all my comments I never said supporting someone means you'll think they'll win. I'm a Bears and Cubs fan. I fully understand that point. And you've just futher made my point why RP won't get the Republican nomition. He doen't fit the Republican Party. The reason you would never vote for a republican is why republicans won't vote for him.

The other person kept insisting that he'd win, so since we're all poker players here (gamblers). I just figured I'd make some money off him being wrong. lol

You see this way you could donate twice as much. Don't worry about it I understand. I never bet on the Cubs either. We always lose. lol
Good luck on the campaign. More power to you for supporting who you believe in. But you still have no chance. ;-)
