| re: Readin material poker First of all: it depends. What are you interested in? MTTs or Cash games or sit and gos? I would recomment the Theory of Poker from Slansky. It's not a new book, you can say it's not up-to-date, but it will definetly make you think. This book is not the usual here-this-is-the-winning-strategy-take-it book, and it's not that easy to understand. Basic concepts of poker (not just hold'em, all kinds), with a lots of examples. |

| I've only read Hold'em Poker and Hold'em for Advanced Players by Sklansky, and the Book of Tells by Mike Caro (all good reads, but Caro's is a little dated, not to mention of little help online). I'm looking for more material myself, I might go for Sklansky's book on NLHE with Ed Miller. |
