i am wondering in heads up razz what is the worst 3 cards u would play if someone has a 5 showing but he had to bring in and he brought in min

Depends on the size of the antes & bring in, how often villain folds. Since he brought in with a 5, he's going to be more likely to call than if he brought in with a K or something. So I'd like at least 1 other good card to go with my 5 or less. Something like 8B_4 where B is a brick is probably the worst I'd mess with.

KK showing an Ace? Need to get more specific, with reads on villain and as c9 said, size of antes and bring in.

I'd say at least 8-6-rag would be my worst hand to see another card.

If I had less than a 5 showing I'd take one shot at a bluff with pretty much anything I had. If he called or raised I'd probably give it up.

I don't like this plan - the fact that he just brought in as opposed to completing means nothing and I'm pretty sure only the nittiest of nits fold when we raise third street, no matter what their other two cards are, unless stacks are so short that the hand is going to showdown no matter what.

So we can't plan to shut down if we're called because we'll get called pretty much all the time - we may as well have just open folded and saved the bet.

Otherwise c9's range sounds good, it's the action and boards on the later streets that will be more telling for me though.

ok to be more specific the game is heads up the guy puts min on every hand but if u re raise with anything and he has good cards behind he re raises u but u hardly see a showdown so it is hard to say if he is re raising strong or weak this is a turbo his chip stake is about 900 u have the 2100 the blinds r at 60/120 what would be the worst 3 cards u think u would play back with

As has already been said, c9 gave a pretty good range above: (8B)4.

The problem is that razz isn't just about the first three cards - it's not like hold 'em where you can commit to a hand like AT because at least it'll always have some showdown value. There's no such thing as a made starting hand in razz and board texture (both yours and your opponent's) on the later streets is a massive factor, at least as important as what your down cards are.

yes i know i agree but i don't think people would play k.k.5
i think the worst hand i would bet with in that hand would be 1 card lower then the 5 and 1 9 or less that didn't pair
