Rakeback Pros and Cons
Please discuss the pros and cons of rakeback.
Right now Im looking on rakeback sites and can only see the fact that you make some of the rake back.. whick as far as I can see can only be a good thing. Therefore why isnt the first bit of advice given to a new online player.. get a rakeback account?? There must be a downside to it!! |

Well, I'll tell you right off that I'm not a rake back expert. I did a google search for "rakeback pros cons" and found the following article posted on numerous websites. Since no author is given and I found it posted "as is" on so many different sites, I'm posting it here without credit to anyone.
Reading it makes me believe that the higher the levels and the more you play then the more worth it rakeback is for you. Quote:

Really if you play enough ring games rakeback is a must. All you have to do is play break even poker and you will see a profit at the end of each month. Carbon poker offers good rakeback along with full tilt.

I use raketherake, they have been OK so far.
1) You can't get RB at Tilt if already a member. 2) You CAN get RB added to your existing Ultimatebet and Absolute Poker accounts. In addition to a nice monthly payback, they offer small field FRs monthly, with 5 to 10K in prizes... If you are a regular ring player.. you should get rakeback. The drawbacks of rakeback are the freerolls and money added tournaments that you won't have access to on many sites. |
