Rag Play

Yesterday I saw somebody comment "Nice Rag Play" after I knocked him out of the tourney with my king high flush. It was one of those private freerolls from another forum.

I'm not sure he meant this as a compliment.
I think he din't like my check-raise after the turn.
Any one heard that expression before?

BTW I placed 3rd in that tourney. It took a lot of patience and a bit of luck at critical hands like this one. This was my best result so far on Poker Stars.

I suppose he was ticked that your suited connectors actually got the hand that you were hoping for and that you out-played him big time. I think he made up the term because he couldn't concede superior play.

It probably wasn't meant as a compliment, but I'd be taking it as one regardless

Outplayed? Huh?

1. Open limp from late position.
2. Just call the (although min.) flop bet.
3. Get lucky to hit the ONLY card that an opponent will call a shove with.

I don't think "superior play" is really appropriate here, even if the villain did technically play "worse" than the hero.

Say "TY" and move on. It doesn't matter what he was intending. Assume it was "Nice rag play, you donk". That's what I hope for. Get em a lil steamed.
