Question about tracking.

Is it possible to view players ring game stats? Like you can with the tourneys on official poker rankings?

Yes, with software like Poker Edge you can see the stats of people sitting at your table in a heads up display. However, such software is banned by PokerStars. If they catch you PokerStars can seize your bankroll and ban you from the site.

It's illegal on many other sites, and not illegal on a few. But Poker Edge is not free. You have to pay a subscription fee.

There is nothing illegal about sizing up your opponet. It's the same as watching pros on tv. Table mining is against the rules on pokerstars, not fulltilt. I don't know about poker edge, but I have used poker tracker for years with no issues. When you sit at a cash table, the info is in the chat bar, poker tracker just puts it all together for you. This info is priceless, and your foolish for not taking advantage of it.
