Qualified for the Million Guarunteed tourny

Decided to play the double shootout on pokerstars for the million dollar tourny and to my luck I won the tourny. I am very pumped about this because I usually dont play on Pokerstars. I hope to represent CC well on Sunday, so wish me luck.

In this case, 8 tables of 8 players. Each table keeps playing until one person has all the chips and no players are moved. Each of the 8 winning players then moves to the FT, and it's played as standard from there.

Good job and good luck to a fellow Canuck. I haven't got up the nerve yet to try one of these, have to get the bankroll a little higher first, although I love the format, you have to change gears all the time.

Wow, got home and went to rail and saw you out halfway through the mess. I hope you went out with a good hand and not blinded out.

I didnt have a good run of cards the whole game. I managed to get up to just over 9000 then ran into a run of bad luck. The major pot was when I pushed with 55 against a button steal i thought. He had AQ and spiked the A on the river. That took most of my chips away with that play which I think was pretty stupid on my part, but could have been good if no A I guess. After had to push with QJo with about 900 chips and got busted by AT with A on flop. I blame this bad placing all on myself, but I am taking this as experience in a big tourny and waiting for the next chance to play in another huge prize pool tourny.

The large prize pool tournys are great to play and are very exciting. Just knowing that half a million or a million dollars is waiting to be dished out to the winners is exhilerating. You just have to focus down and dont let the money cloud your mind too much.
