lol is quads actually such a big deal. In playing online for 2 years I have every quads at least once, I have even lost with quads in a cash game.

More amusing is the fact my mum has only ever hit quads once, and she was beat by better quads

I think there is no different terminology because only one person can have the quads. With a set, only one person can have them, but two can have the same trips.

Live hand so no screen cap but:

6 left at final table I'm big stack with 88
and call the shortstack's all-in. He shows 77.

He hit a 7 on the flop but I hit back to back 8's on the turn and river for quads 8s over his full house.

He was out and I went on to win!

This hand was fun. I had signed up for The Ferguson, but I was having connection problems. So an hour passed before I was able to log on and I found myself shortstack at 735 chips. Blinds just hit 80/160. I manage to double up on the first hand I played and then double up again a few hands later. Then this hand happened.
