PT3 question (re:Cake/Merge networks)

Ok, so, by now I have figured out that PT3 will apparently NEVER support either the Cake or the Merge networks because of those networks' T&Cs, and that's ok with me...I'm not looking for a HUD or stats on anyone else but me. BUT, in light of the tens of thousands of HHs I have on my computer from both these networks, I just keep thinking, "there has to be a way to compile my stats from all those sessions...." (especially on Cake, where the HHs are in a "normal" text format - Merge uses xml files, which may be a lot harder to figure out). Again, I'm not looking to violate any T&Cs or use any type of HUD on these sites, I would simply like to be able to somehow import all those cash sessions into PT3 (don't really care about tourneys too much), so that I can get an accurate and COMPLETE picture of all MY cash game stats. I don't care about anyone else's stats, just about mine. (Cake masks all the villains' names in the HH, anyway, and players can change their names once a week, if so inclined, so it's impossible to compile stats on any other player there.)

Could PT3 somehow be "tricked" into reading Cake and/or Merge HHs - under some other network name, for all I care - by making some basic adjustment to the HH format, which could then possibly be mass-applied with some sort of macro/batch process? I'm by no means a programmer of any kind, but I can figure out many a computer issue after a bit of trial & error, and I'd be happy to help or collaborate w/ this process.... I'm just so tired of looking at my PT3 reports, knowing that the 50K hands I'm seeing from PS & Cereus don't really mean anything because I'm missing at least another 50K hands (if not 100K) from those other networks....

I'm sure there are many, many other players out there who have the same exact problem -- any help, input, and/or ideas will be greatly appreciated!!!

Wish I had some solutions. I am in the same boat. I started to play Ultimatebet because I can get rateback, and it supports PT but between the gambling law b.s., having signed up with too many sites a longtime ago so not being able to get rakeback, and finally finding a site that supports PT, I don't have many options. I would really like to play at Carbon, but I want to track my stats as well.

I did find a free tracker, but it involved a lot of manual input and was very limited compared to PT.

I know of a Hand History convertor for the Merge Network which is available here, but I have no personal experience of it and cannot say whether it is effective.

re: PT3 question (re:Cake/Merge networks) poker

I would have tough that the best place to ask this question is on the pokertracker forum on the PT site.

Someone there is bound to know.

Otherwise its a case of converting the HH to look like say pokerstars HH and the importing them as pokerstars hands instead.

Hi,

I am the developer of www.mergeconverter.com

I have confirmed with Carbon/Merge support that my converter and Poker Tracker and Holdem Manager are allowed on the Merge network.
You can contact their support teams to confirm this and check out the trial at the site to see how it works.

Thanks, Egon! I'll give this a whack when I have time, and will update you here to let you know if it's any good!

Thanks, daedalie, and nice to know that you'll (hopefully?!) be available here for any questions and/or issues that might come up. I have downloaded the trial and will give it a go in the next few days; if everything works ok, this will solve a huge problem for me. . . .
