| Which pros use card protectors and what do they use? I really enjoyed reading everyone's answers in the recent thread about what people here use as card protectors, for those who play live. Tonight I was watching the recent 4-hour Full Tilt show on the DVR and noticed that none of the pros playing used card protectors -- they all used chips. So that brings me to the question, is that was the majority of pros do? I know Doyle uses Casper, but what about other pros? I think I may have seen Devilfish use some kind of fancy jeweler's thing, but can't recall anyone else. Do most simply consider it frivolous or unnecessary? I'd be interested to know what those who do use one use. And I suppose the underlying question is... if I get lucky and/or work hard enough to make it into a big game, will I look like a novice if I use one? (Aside from the zillion other reasons I'd look like a novice....) |

| I would have to say that majority of the pros dont use a card protector and if they do they dont use it all the time. I imagine though if you were to be part of a WSOP event that you would probalbly see half the players using one. I personally use my chips in front of me or sometimes even my cellphone, but if you were to use one I think you should find something so unique that when you win the WSOP like Raymer you will be known for your card protector. Or even like the guy from B.C., Canada who is known for his little beaver statue. |
