Previous Hand Crazy question I'm sure but what the heck. I dont ask many questions here as I seem to find the answers to most of them in previous threds. But Im wondering do any of you take in to cosideration the flop of the prvious hand when thinking about you hole cards for the curent hand? If so, does it effect how you play your current hand? Thanks...

Online no, but small cash games where cards aren't professionally shuffled. For example I saw 9's on the flop a few hands in a row. I woke up with 9-10 and called a raise and hit a 9 on the board. Not a exact science, but if people aren't shuffling well cards can come together from a previous hand.

re: Previous Hand poker To me, it is just luck what you're talking about now. On the poker sites - everything is random, so there is no point of getting close to guessing the flop next hand, basing on the previous one. Good luck with your trying.

I wasnt thinking of it in a luck way. I was thinking of it like say flop was JJ9 Turn 10 river K. Bla Bla hand over. Next hand your looking at pocket JJ. What are the odds Js will show agian on the board? Does this enter in to your thoughts on the hand or should it? Like I said Probly a dumb question but!

The cards have no memory. No matter how poorly they are shuffled. Letting any voodoo factors like this affect your gameplay is a losing proposition. In the long run, you will lose money from marginal hands that you shouldn't play but think you should, and you won't get value from big hands that you play sub-optimally.

The odds of flopping AAA is the same, even if the flop of the last hand was also AAA. But, remember that fish have terrible short-term memories, and usually only remember the last hand. That means the action of the previous hand can have a huge effect on the current one. If you won a pot last hand without showdown, the fish assume you bluff every hand. If you folded to a raise last hand, the fish assume that a big enough bet will knock you off every hand. So, the cards are still random, but the play isn't.
