| PPT - is the audience noise real? Every time I watch the Professional Poker Tour airings there seems to be a lot more audience noise (applause, whoops and hoots) than would be realistic coming from an audience of that size and demeanor. There's applause and cheers for nearly every bet, every call or raise, even many flops. Yet when they show the audience in the background, they're normally quite sedate. Do the show's producers add an "applause track" similar to a sitcom laugh track? That's pretty cheesy if they do, and it bugs me every time I hear it. Do the first through third quarters even have an audience at all? |
