Pot odds question
Hi guys,
A quick pot odds question according to the world poker tour calculator A-10 suited vs KK is approximately a 3 to 1 underdog. So if the pot were paying us 2.5 to 1 then in theory we wouldnt call preflop, assuming we put our opponent on kings right? But I was watching a youtube video with Daniel Negreanu explaining this exact situation and he said you would have to make the call in this case. He said that A-10 suited is only a 2 to 1 underdog agians a pair of kings Who's right who's wrong or am I not understanding this right? Thanks |

Negreanu is right-- ATs is a 2-1 dog here, so any pot odds better than that would justify a call. What may have happened on WPT (assuming this was television) is another opponent mucked an A, which would obviously decrease the number of outs the player had.
