Poll for cardschat's titan ring table

OK guys the 0.50/1.00 Limit Holdem Ring Table at titan hasn't been used, so I'm going to thread this poll to see what changes everyone wants to see
i ask that everyone that wants to play make a poll choice and/or post because Nick set this table up for us to play on and i don't think it's been used once!

alright so post away, people!

See: Winnings

It was used when it first came out, I remember playind once or twice but it was hard to get players to come. After awhile of not playing it I forgot we had a ring table.
i would play the .50/1.00 but i think to get more ppl to come, it would probably be best to bring it down to .25/.50.

i voted keep the stakes the same because i think once we drop lower than what it is, regardless of how good the players are that play here we are going to chase when each bet is only 10c or whatever
and as is i don't think anyone wants to play this high, so raising is sounding like it aint an option

Set time would be good... I'm not on Titan yet so I wouldn't play immediately (I'm currently clearing a bonus on another site, and have the next couple of sign-ups planned to pick up copies of Poker Academy and PokerOffice), but my preference is for Omaha High-Low, so I voted for changing the game.

Chuck,

I voted for my obvious to lower the stakes. I think most of us here know not to chase(not saying it couldn't be a possiblity) I know I am throwing in another dime if I have 4 to the Royal flush

You know what I mean. I myself can't afford a .50/1.00 limit table I can barely afford a .05/.10 limit as we speak.

I know I wouldn't mind in a change of game also but I couldn't vote for both.

Well, i never thought i would hear myself say this but, if in the interests of the Forum the limit needs to be revised, i will be willing to take part at a lower limit.
Please don't think i am being bossy or anything else, it is certainly not my intention, but for me to be a regular participant, it would have to be of a standard higher than idiot-ism and low regard to the game itself.
I suspect that those who would take part are of a level higher than that.
I have no issues with those that may want to learn more about Limit Poker, its what its all about right?
If it stays sensible then I'm all for it, if it starts to get silly I'm outa there.
Well done Chuck for keeping this thing running.

exactly - thats why i see lowering the limits to be a problem
maybe doing 0.25/0.50 might still be sufficient but not sure
neither am i sure how many people play limit here...not gettin too many responses
fredrik would you play?
i know there're more that play limit cmon guys

Here's an idea! How about a CardsChat play money table!?! Those who say they want "to play people I know while I learn" need a play money social table where they can discuss hands and walk through things as they happen (or talk about Aunt Bessy's bursitis, if desired). And it won't cost them a thing. Seminar-style meet-ups can be held and folks can learn without losing money. Kinda like teaching sessions.

I'm serious about this, but I voted to raise the stakes of the current table. If the stakes are lowered, it would be the near-equivalent of a play money table because human nature would be to take the bargain and chase, chase, chase. Anything below .50/$1 is not real poker and .50/$1 itself is borderline. This is a widely-held opinion that is not just my own, so no need to flame me.

To sum up: Make the social table a free table and keep the real table a real table where real poker is played by those of us who want to win.

i really don't know about that idea
i know personally i would be playin like a fool
regardless of how good the players are here, that table would turn into a zoo and be ridiculous IMO

I didnt vote cause im not sure what we need to do, i`ve been by the table numerous times in the past and nobodys ever there so i to kind of forgot about it. It doesnt make a difference to me cause i usually dont play ring games,im more into tourneys. I guess its hard because of the time differences to get people together. buck

Like Buck I hardly ever play ring games so not sure how much time I would spend anyway. Would try Omaha H/L or limit Holdem if ou don't want to change the game. Leaving the game & stakes the same would I assume produce no change in participation.

Maybe what we should do is lower the stakes and once people are comfortable with the limits, we raise em?
that way everybody's confident with the stakes and the game will be realistic

Any input Nick?
is changing the limits too much of a hassle to do?
I'm thinking we should just set a time that suits the most people possible and have a weekly/daily/whatever cash game at the table and see how it goes

Change the game

I personally think we should change to some type of Omaha PL (although I personally don't like the Hi/Lo split, but I do like to try out Omaha now and then). There's been a lot of interest from members posting questions on how to improve their Omaha game, I think this would be a great addition.

If people want to improve their Omaha game I would strongly recommend they do it on limit tables. If you're playing well a PLO game can drain your bankroll very fast. So if the table change to some kind of omaha game I think it should be limit.

On Titan we have a limit table, a no limit SNG, and a NL heads up table.
Each has a password that will be available to you after your 15th post.
The limit table is rarely (never) used, hence this thread.
The Sng table is used (sometimes) but is hard to get 6 members regularly.
The Heads up table is used ....we have a H2h challenge subsection.

Mostly now however, you will find regulars at the $5 daily series M-Fri./ $5 buy-in saturdays and $10 buy-in Sundays
