Pokertracker v3 beta!!!

TableTracker support for PokerStars is pretty big...

I don't play on Stars so the HUD finally working is the biggest thing for me. I played another 550 hands after my post last night again without incident.

What is table tracker?

A new add-on to PT3 that uses your Poker Tracker database to show you the fishiest tables before you sit down.

And this is legal on pokerstars? If so, this will be very handy! I know data mining is illegal on there, i guess this isn't the same.

Table Tracker just analyzes the data that is already given to you by pokerstars.

Well it was illegal on PokerStars before since it's server-based and not client-based, ie it's not the same as telescope for ex. I don't know what's changed about the program or the agreement between PS and Poker Tracker, but I guess it's allowed now.

I don't see pokerstars as an option for pokertracker3 tabletracker, what gives? I have pokertacker v3 build two trial version, the one the trial made me download yesterday.

Did you have an option to download beta 14? If you did, go get it. Build 2 is old news, and was 'not so great', beta 13 was ok and dealt with some of the Build 2 shortcomings. It is beta 14 that has the new table tracker.

I still believe that when this thing finally stabilizes, it will be peerless.

I cannot find the download for pokertracker 3 build 14, i just downloaded build 2 once again. Anyone can help me find a download link?

Same page build 2 is on just further down. Since you already have Build 2 installed get the version without PostgreSQL.

That's the message i get when i try to use tabletracker but when i try to register my trial version of pokertracker 3, it is asking for a registration code which i assume you get for buying the full version. How can you start a free trial of tabletracker when you have to purchase the full version to register and use that feature?????

Not sure on the answer to that one as I do have a registered version. Maybe try asking over at the Poker Tracker forum.

$90 is expensive for software that you don't even have a hard copy of! Has using tabletracker and finding fishy tables improve your success?

I don't play on Stars and I use TableRatings - Online Poker Table Selection Tool to choose my tables at Full Tilt Poker (doesn't work for Stars). Also you should know that Table Tracker is planned to be an additional cost subscription, so the purchase price is only the start of it.

Also aren't you more of a SnG player? Not sure how ffective Table Tracker would be for that since SnGs fill so quickly.

Oh really? Thanks for the heads up. I won't pay a subscription for such a service. And yes, i play sng's. Have yet to try cash games. Thanks for the invaluable insight.

I think unless clicking connect doesn't work, the default password should be 'postgres' or 'password' or something obvious like that.

when I click connect I get Pic no1,
when I add either password you mentioned I get Pic 1,
when I click cancel I get pic 2,
when I shut it down (ie click yes on pic 2) I get Pic 3.
beta 13 worked ok except no HUD.

If you had beta 13 did you download the beta 14 version without PostgreSQL?

Try this ;

start > programs > postgreSQL8.3 > stop service, then turn right around a start the service fresh. If it works before you continue with the Poker Tracker3 b14 install, reboot and see if the same thing happens. If it does, doe the procedure again, install b14, and tell the folks at Poker Tracker about it.

Otherwise, download the version with Postgres again, install it, and set it to load all your existing hands from the old processed directory.

The only problem with this is you will lose PokerStars tourney results. You FT results will be processed as they are now coming along with logging on to FT.

If you are not willing to lose those PokerStars results, then you have to go through the Poker Tracker forum.

Zorba, I don't know if this will help, but when I downloaded Beta 14 I selected the option With postgres even though it had already been installed when I purchsed the software 2 months ago.Download went smoothly and I had no PS3 problems at all. I even made it through a tourney without the HUD crashing or my stats disapearing even once.

So is it worth moving from PT2 to PT3 yet?

Yes, IMO, if you're playing on Stars or Tilt.

Take advantage of the trial though.

I'm really sorry to hear that not because I 16-table or even want to but I had hoped this was the release that fixed all the HUD issues (it's been rock solid for me) and allowed them to concentrate on adding features. Guess that may have just been wishful thinking.

really irritated that you can't filter database exports.

trying to decide if i'm irritated enough to write something to filter the exports after PT3 exports them...

seriously...how the hell do you release a program like this with that feature missing? lol... it's not even something that's overly complicated to write.....

Just wondering, is pokertracker 3 available for mac?

Just an aside, I now use PT3 and tried Poker Office before, would not go back if my life depended on it.
It is available free with a signup and deposit at Titan (or was).
Ya its buggy but its gettin there, support is ok too, not great, but I bet they are busy...
And to all you multi tablers out there, 9+, txs for the chips.
