I've been playing with the HUD tonight and it's still flaky (only 4 tables) stats disappearing and such. I'm going back to PT2 and PAH till they get it straight.

beta 11 fixed all the reasons beta 10 didn't work.

I'm picturing the guys over there frantically working 24/7, no 30 hours per day, 8 days per week to meet the May 15 release date. I'm still thinking may 22.

Well they said that beta 11 fixed all those issues but i am using it now and i am still seeing stats disappear and me being forced to constantly hit "reset" to bring them back. Annoying. I also think the "Fold to BB Steal" stat isn't working either.

Ive noticed the stats tend to disappear in tourneys whenever the blinds go up, and in B10 i never had any personal stats for cash games

Hopefully they'll be back now

Make a good effort to post your problems on the Poker Tracker website. Also read the new improved FAQ's there.

Ok d/l beta 11. HUD seem a lot slicker and stats appear on all my tables now (18 tabling ). Hardly any LAG, which is good. So hopefully I can start using this on a regular basis.

It's still a little quirky, but I'm sure the guys at Poker Tracker will sort the bugs out soon.

Pricing has been set at $89.99 USD. See PokerTracker • View topic - purchasing via credit card or https://www.pokertracker.com/support/?cat_id=39 about payment options.

I read some mention about another beta before the scheduled May 15th release date. That would be beta 12, making the final release beta 13 !!!

Yeah man the $89.99 price is waaaay higher than it should be. I can see $50 or even $60 but I think $70 is just pushing it way above and beyond reasonable expectation. I'm very disappointed.

Been using the HUD for a couple of days now and TBH it's still buggy as hell. There's lots of tables stealing focus which is a nightmare when your cascading 20 tables. I certainly hope they sort it soon.

Yes, but if you bought PT2 over 1 year ago, your discount is only 20% of your PT2 purchase price. Which is what, like $15?

EEK! $90 for that?
Maybe they can lower it for beta testers as well?

I'm with you there. I was hoping for something more like $50 to $60. A discount for the beta testers would be great!

PT2 was $55, you really expect PT3 to be the same?

The number of beta testers was probably equivalent to all of PT2 buyers and then some, you really expect everyone to get a discount?

PT3 is an top notch product with the best support in the business. $90 is more than worth it.

But my question is since I already have PT2 and PAHUD, is it worth the $90 simply for the upgrade (or $75 if I get a 20% discount)? At this point I'm thinking not. Can someone convince me that the upgrades from PT2 to PT3 are really worth $75?

At this point I really don't need an upgrade. My point was that buying PT3 would basically be an upgrade, since it seems like it runs a bit faster, has some stats like 3 and 4-bet, but is the faster run time and those stats plus whatever other differences there are worth $75?

You guys playing NL50+ don't think PT3 will be worth less than 2 buy-ins? Come on. Before you had to buy PAHUD for a seperate $25 (bringing the previous total to $80) so now it's $10 more. Also you get your discount on the total price you paid for PT2 and PAHUD.

I've already shipped them my $$. Just waiting for them to get the software right before making the switch to PT3 permanent.

I think most of the people complaining about the price only started using Poker Tracker when this beta period started, so they've never had to pay for it.

PT3 will do everything you old Poker Tracker does, and a bunch more, but as to whether that 'bunch more' is worth that much would be worth investigating.

As I never had PT2 with PAH, and noticed a difference once I got with the beta program, I was happy to formalize the whole thing with the new version. And in the process got a complete old version.

Oh yeah, BTW, with purchase you get the 'Anti-Doomswitch' option at no extra cost.

Oh if I didn't have PT2 I'd get it in a heartbeat. What it offers is certainly worth the money. The difference is I'm not getting the difference between nothing and Poker Tracker, I'm getting the difference between PT2 and PT3, which I'm not sure is worth $75. I can continue to use PT2 + PAHUD for FREE or else pay $75 for a product that seems to be quicker, better-looking, and have 3 and 4-bet stats. I'm still on the edge, hoping someone can convince me that it's worth the $75, but no matter what stakes I'm playing, $75 is $75, which is a good amount of money. I'm willing to risk that kind of money playing poker because I know that it's worth it in that I'll most likely make more than I lose. With PT3 there seem to be a small number of upgrades, yet they're still charging me 80% of the price, $75.

Yep, that's basically my question. What is the 'bunch more' and is it worth $75?

WHAT? No one told me THAT. Ok that definitely makes it worth it, I'll be buying it as soon as it comes out

I understand what you're saying Zach, but the lack of updates to PT2 once PT3 is out will basically force you to upgrade. Stars will change their HHs slightly and break it and you'll have to pay for PT3 anyway.

In fact I hear the people at Poker Tracker plan to PAY Stars to modify the HH files.

This was my thinking originally too, but at some point they'll stop supporting PT2, meaning at some point the next upgrade after that that Stars or Tilt makes that PT2 can't read it'll become useless.

They may continue to support site upgrades for 6 months, a year after PT3, but at some point they'll figure they've done enough and stop.

I think the 3-bet/4-bet stats themselves are enough to make the price worthwhile. And this is coming from a full-ring player.

This is probably true, I've seen people calling 3-bets with the strangest hands (guy showed down 57s today, I wasn't in the hand) and just knowing how often a particular opponent 3-bets light will help a ton. Of course that stuff will only work against opponents with a significant sample size (100 is fine for VP$IP and PFR stuff, but you figure maybe only 2-3 3 or 4-bets in that period and the sample isn't really significant) and most of those opponents will now also have those stats on me lol. But that's how it works, if I can use the data better than my opponents, it helps, and if I can't, not getting it doesn't help that anyway. So what's the release date on this thing? May 15th I heard? That's in like 2 days.

Yeah they say it'll be released on the 15th and that there will be a new as yet unreleased feature added to the initial full release.

If that's true, then really there's no choice but to make the move.

Personally, I never got PokerAce and used GameTime+ which was much worse (sloooooow with fewer options). Now I'm using PT3 exclusively, even though the HUD disappears on occasion. I'm only hitting four tables at a time so I can rely on memory when the stats go bye-bye.

I'll buy PT3 as soon as it goes gold. I love it.

I would be surprised if they can make the release date. Software is *always* delayed a month or two.

Ok, this may be a real dumb question, but if I now download this beta version, before the real thing becomes available, what's to stop me keeping the beta programme installed, and therefore saving me the cost of buying the thing? What I'm saying is that Will the beta version(free) continue to work indefinatly?

Check your account page over there. If it shows your order the discount will show when you go to check out. If the order isn't shown contact support and they'll get it in the system.

Just downloaded PT3 Beta and got it up and running. I just have a small question though. How do you get your stats to show at the right seat if you have a preferred seat?
