I had that problem as well. Only re-booting cured it.

I played a few play money tournaments. PokerTracker thought they were real money so it have me down for some incredible losses.

Any way to manually fix this? (For the record, I won 2/3 of those play money tourneys)

There is no cure for wasting your time with play money tourneys, except stop it!

Beta 14 is fresh off the press.

Savage, purge your database (this should wipe it out), then download and install install beta 14, then re import all your processed hands, it is likely the play money games will not process. Otherwise there is no way to manually manipulate individual results yet.

Ban the trackers

Ibelieve all these poker tracking systems should be baned on all sites why should someone with a few bucks be able to see my pattern of play an betting an stats, for instance if your in the WSOP in Vegas when you register do they give a profile on all the other registered players no they don't it's up to you to take your own notes an thats how ot should be online. I think this is another form of cheating.Just saying thats what i think.

Beta 15 released.

Beta 15 promises many refinements, and improved performance, especially for multi-tables.

WARNING. the update process will convert something in the database and a warning when restarting B15 for the first time suggests it could take many hours!

I'm mainly a tourney player, and this may explain why my 40,000 hand database was converted in about 3 seconds, but many of you might be having million hand ring game databases and this could be a serious issue for you. Reading through the Poker Tracker forums, I see that many are getting very fast conversions, 4 seconds for anywhere between 50K hands and 700K hands, so this warning may be primarily cautious pessimism. The cluster was much faster, and this time the vacuum after the cluster took the longest. Analyze was seemingly faster as well.

I suggest we gather times vs primary type (ring or tourney and approx % if mixed) vs database size (in hands) for this conversion, and we can then pass that along to Poker Tracker. They get a lot of useless stuff over there and a group effort could bring a smile to their faces.

It did not add any new sites, but states it improved performance at those it already imports.

I have not used it yet.

Just downloaded beta 15. DB conversion was instantaneous. Clustering is a bit long (minutes). Vacuuming and analysing very fast. I'll now try multitabling Full Tilt Poker and see if it's really improved in terms of performance.

Did you win?
Im still confused about whether to download new version with or without 'PostSQL database,' if anyone can explain what this means I would be grateful. Have a PM into Poker Tracker support but no answer yet.

PostgreSQL is the database engine used by PokerTracker. It's an open source project ( PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database ), so it's not developed by the PokerTracker people, and it should not change between Poker Tracker releases, so you would only need to download it once.

I played for a couple of hours using the HUD on 6 Full Tilt Poker tables with the "Enhance Hud Performance" option selected, which apparently just makes the HUD solid instead of transparent. Didn't have any trouble with it.

i think this would be useful for a very serious player, someone looking to actually make a noticeable living from poker. i like to judge my play by the results i see, i dont worry about stats and all that, i am more concerned with each table and how the players there act. each table is so different you cant always go by probability and all that

I cant take a cat with a lime on its head seriously, unless they can show a winning graph. He he.
My living from poker is not that noticeable, but I can pay for a bag of dog food every once in a while.
PT3 helps for holdem, as does any other tracker..

to get your ROI's correct on MTT's you need the tourney summary (preferably the one written after the tourney has finished); on FT this is written to the hh folder when the tourney lobby is closed, on stars, request it via email and manually import - then your money stats will be good to go...

At the moment, I'm having a better time with Hold'em Manager than with PT3. Will try PT3 again when they get Boss support.

Very nice, PokerTracker can be a very confusing program if you don't know how to read it. I found a decent tutorial on it back awhile ago on thepokerbay.org and it was pretty helpful.

I've been using poker tracker 3 to record my online play since I started playing regularly almost three months ago. Just to clarify I have only used the program itself for maybe 6-7 weeks but saved all my hand histories previously.

I have never deposited and my bankroll has gone up, then down, then up again. Usually what would happen is I'd win around 2 bucks in freerolls over a period of time, and lose it in cash games over the span of a week..typical story. I have since then gotten a bit smarter about my play. With the money that I have now I only play in 1.25 SNG's and private tournies that cost two bucks or less and this month has been profitable. Not triple digit or even close but from nothing, its not bad.

I'm half decent with stats since I did it in university and I find poker tracker similar in some respects to when i've used SPSS. I'm wondering if anyone here has any ideas for pre-generated reports they use on a regular basis? I think these kind of reports have alot of potential value in them..would appreciate any comments.

Wow, not to go off topic, but now that you mention that it somewhat reminded you of SPSS, it kind of does...And I HATED that program with a passion. So damn confusing, but that is funny that you mentioned that.

Poker Tracker

This Poker Tracker sounds like a decent deal. However, to much information can have the opposite effect. I use a simple excell spreadsheet built by a guy at work who plays on line also. The program calculates win, losses, % ITM, finish in top 10%, winnings/hand, winnings/hour played among other things for each different type of game. Not bad for a couple of silly engineers.

The Poker Tracker appears to be an excellent program,
do not have this program, I have interest,
in a near future acquire it.
Parace be an optimal investment, the price is
very good uss 55.00, offers many advantages
on how to play of their opponents.
I have only one doubt! if all sites of poker
allow the use of this program? Sites like Poker Stars
Full tilt poker and Party Poker allow?
