Pokerstars VPP World Record Run

Hey guys, figured I'd make my first post on here a fun one! I'm going for the world record of VPPs earned in 1 year in 2011. If anyone wants to discuss anything about going for supernova elite on pokerstars, or anything about bankroll management or grinding intense hours, just ask away!

Your graph on PTR looks great, I'm amazed at the number of hands you've already put in -- if I'm not mistaken it's right around the same number as roboman nanonoko Randy Lew?

How many tables do you have open at a time? Are you using any special configurations like using an xbox controller or anything like that?

Thx, hopefully that graph goes on a serious upslope soon, as I've worked hard on my game! It's a ton of hands I've played...this year is going to be around 5-6 million alone to beat the record.

I play 20-24 tables at a time...and I tile them...I used to stack them and use a Logitech dual action control, but I like to see all the tables at all times.

Great question!! If I hit 3.7MM vpps (the minimum I want...should get me the record at the very least) It comes out to $465,000 in money just from VPPs.

To get near 4MM vpps, it's going to take 10 hours of playing, at a minimum of 310 days a year. It sounds like a ton...and it is, but 55 days off isn't too bad

I made a strict schedule for myself, but I haven't been following it. It's pretty much play a session for at least 2 hours, aiming for 4...then taking a 1 hour break doing whatever I want..then playing...rinse, repeat...anytime I'm tired, I've been napping. That's about it!

I chose this site because it looks like a site not known to many players, so I wanted to come in and share some info!

if you had to guess, right now, how many VPPs you'd have for the year at the end of 2011, what would be your guess?

Hmmmmmm loving this question....I'd say about 3.75MM vpps...cuz that's a milestone...I'm pretty sure that if I get near there and the year is closing up, and I see I'm def gonna have the record...it's gonna be tough to grind the last .25M to get to 4!

What stakes do you plan on playing (or already are playing) to achieve this goal?... And do you always play 20-24 tables at these stakes? What size monitors do you have.. I assume you have more than one if you are tiling all of the tables, correct?

I am currently playing between 2/4nl to 5/10nl with some dabbling in 10/20nl...all 6max...I always play 20 tables, if I get excited, 24. I have a 30" widescreen monitor flanked by 2 20" monitors that are vertically flipped. This is very intriguing. Can we get a shot of you playing 20+ tables at once? That'd be sweet. I'm also assuming you do this for a living for yourself/gf.

10hrs. of playing 310days/yr. < I'm assuming this is just a 'hobby' in hopes of picking up some bar money & for some cool trips & shyte. His 'real' job is during the other 55 days of the yr. (prolly works Sundays at McD's.. when the bigger tips are comin' in).

If you get to the end of the year and it seems off target, would you consider moving up in stakes to increase VPPS earned and/or increasing the amount of tables at current stakes? What is 24-tabling like I'm just starting to get used to 9+ tabling sit and gos but my monitor is only 17" so I now have to cascade even though I prefer tiling. Is it worth getting another monitor yet or not until I'm comfortable playing 18+ tables on cascade?

Also, best thing you've bought with your FPPs?

Well GL man with breaking the record. Looks like you got a game plan. Don't let life get in the way.

I must say you are crazy and must have alot of $ and that is obviously your job at 10hrs a day 310 days a year. I couldnt imagine playing 24 tables at a time. I do good to play 3. Good luck to ya though. That is quite a goal to shoot for.

Hey Poop, good to see you over here. I know you from 2p2 on the SNE thread and from that prop bet you did a couple of years ago. Anyways good to see you here dude.

Oh and btw I know you're s/s now. I've tried this and ran like death. In fact I actually think it's almost impossible to win at 100nl s/s. What changes have you made to your game to adapt to s/s, because I'm sure you were a winner playing 100bb's.

Also are you getting coaching from needbeer?

Have you seen his coaching manual?

How many buy ins do you like for each level? (s/s bi's)

From my experience of s/s, losing money in the blinds is a huge factor, have you developed a strategy to solve this?
