Pokerstars owns Full Tilt.

Just created my first pokerstars account yesterday and deposited $35, and I'm already almost up to $100. I played a SNG today and someone pushed all in with Ace ten. I called with AQ, and something very good happened, my hand held up and won. It's very rare for that to happen to me on Full Tilt. I'm sure if I were playing on Full Tilt instead of pokerstars the AQ would have flopped a str8 or full house or trips Qs. The flops and hands seem a lot more like live poker in PS than on Full Tilt. I don't see nearly as many players flopping nut flushes or nut straights on PS than I do on FT.

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best sites to play online poker. They accept US players & using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is the poker site the pro's play at. US players are welcome - use Full Tilt Poker referral code CARDSCHAT for a $600 bonus.

You have just been on a lucky run, that's why your hand held up. Give it a few more days and your AQ will no longer beat AT. Why do you think people call that site Jokerstars?

no no they're both rigged, pokerstars is just giving OP the usual week-long boomswitch to lure him in.

This is like the Nintendo-Sega debate of the 90s. Some people swear PS is rigged and love FT, others say FT is rigged and love PS.

Personally, I know neither is rigged, but I do prefer PS to FT. I've played at both enough and I find for some reason that (like OP said) the hands for me on PS seem more like what you get live than on FT. Even though there isn't really a difference, sometimes perception can be enough.

Pretty quick put assumption on your thoughts OP, but it is your opinion. I always looked at Pokerstars as the "Wal-Mart" of the poker industry. And no I don't like going there.

I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but you will need to learn to overcome several key concepts in order to become a successful poker player long-term: selective memory, results-oriented thinking and statistical sampling.

Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

I made quads on FT but not on Stars. Thus, FT is better than Stars.

Why do you equate Pokerstars with Walmart? I don't ever go to Walmart, but how is Pokerstars remotely like it? I prefer pokerstars mainly because of the software, just cleaner I think. Also the one time I did Full Tilt I blew $300 chasing a 100% deposit bonus. I've thought about depositing at Full Tilt just to try to break even and collect some of the deposit, but I haven't, and I have until mid January I think, probably won't do it. Pokerstars has also deluded me with the fact that in a few years of earning FPPs I'll have a Porsche and a buy-in to the WSOP ME lol.

on another note partypoker has some weak ass players, 50 bucks on it today has proven very fruitful - almost double now

No they do not, its too bad really it would increase their traffic.

Or maybe thats a good thing, softer fields perhaps from that.... a usual S&G stt is like 4 canadians, 2 germans, 2 swedes and a frenchman :X

MTT also easier to end up on the FT when yer ITM, i only played 2 today and got rather close each go at it

yeah i def. dont think there is any differenc in luck between any poker sites....you could just be lucky at one site than the other just like at a casino you could be winning nicely tipping the dealer then be losing later at another....think about it.

Well I guess I'm getting your luck. Pokerstars a few weeks ago, I'm multi-tabling, and apparently so is someone else. Because I flopped a set of kings vs. AA simultaneously (as in the beginning of the second hand was before the end of the first one) against the same player. I guess I'm the chosen one at pokerstars, and he certainly is not (as I was thinking "wow, wouldn't it be hilarious if he has aces again" and he was probably thinking "he can't have set against my aces both times").

But if you want to avoid the suckouts, get your money in when you have the worse hand (Someone had a sig like that, forget who). I've never been sucked out on when I open shoved 27o.

I was comparing to Stars to Wal-Mart because they have an "everything you need concept". Don't know why that's just the feel I get from it. Except they have no casino.

With all this greatness you get every single kind of person there is.(Let alone you can get all of them at one table.) I know this can happen everywhere, but it seems like I find it more on Stars. Also I see this more often directed at players there than anywhere. It can be more annoying than the person timing out. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Thanks goodness no...I lost plenty there when I used to make depositing 50 bucks a month my entertainment budget. Heck they even sent me a jacket for supporting them so much.

Oh and to bean addict...try cleaning the shotgun on the porch when the dates come, with 3 daughters my husband either did that or took to sharpening the 10 inch buck knife if he couldnt get the cleaning kit out fast enough.

i dont think any of the sites are rigged. we have something called selective memory when it convient.i.e. i played bad, therefor the site is rigged because this or that happened.take the middle path, not good or bad.

full tilt all the way. The problem is only good players can play at ft, if you suck it rigs it so you lose all the time, maybe thats why the op kept losing

Sometimes the paranoid part of me thinks that you have increased odds of winning when you first join a new site....

Then the suckouts just bring you back down to earth with a bump
