PokerNordica

After seeing that cardschat were doing a freeroll series through pokernordica, I joined today, and in the name of checking it out entered the $50 new player freeroll.

Well, 614 players, and some 2 hours 45 mins later, my KJ holds up against Q10 to take the tournament, winning the princely sum of $15 in the process.

A feeble payout for so much play, but I wanted to thank cardschat anyway as I wouldn't even be a member there had I not logged on this evening.

Can't wait for the freeroll series now, even though I think i'll only be able to play a couple due to T on the fringe commitments.

Carbon PokerCarbon Poker operates on the relatively new Merge network. This is a great site for freerolls. Get a bonus of 300% upto $600 using Carbon Poker coupon code CCHAT600.

Thanks! Feeble payout aside, I don't think there's a better feeling in poker than winning a MTT.

I think I like this site.

Congrats on your tourny win. I joined poker.com a long time ago, its the same as poker nordica (merge gaming network). Anyway placed in a couple of the freerolls and have built myself a great bankroll on there. I just opended a poker nordica account so I can play in these freerolls but I'm usually playing on my poker.com account or carbon poker, depending on what mood and color scheme I want.

Good luck at your tables

Thanks.

I actually busted out not long after posting in 16th place. Didn't feel it really warranted an update post. Wasn't too pleased with myself, lost my stack in two hands. AK on the SB, medium stack shoves from middle position. . I figure him for pretty much what he has, middle pair. I dunno, I find so often people shove this hand. Anyway, I figure that it's worth the coin flip if I want to have a formidable stack going into the final table, as the money was pretty much the same up to top 5, and the blinds are getting bigger, so anyway I call and he flips 10 10 and it holds up. It was one of those ones, if I'd won I would've had about 10k and would've been sitting in top 3 with 17/18 odd left. As it was I was down to 14th odd.

NEXT HAND, I get AJ on the button. . 1 limper from middle position, who's been playing fairly loose calling a lot, so I shove hoping to pick up the ok sized pot.

Alas, the BB called and turned over, wait for it. . 65 suited, and hits his 6.

And i'm oot.

To summarise, not a bad first day of play, like the site, and still looking forward to the freerolls.

Well, I ran my $20 up to $30, so decided what the hell, and entered a $10 $800 guaranteed.

I quite like the MTT format here, I managed to finish 4th.

Thanks again CC.

Well done with you games
I only just joined poker nordica, and although I can play the games, no actual table appears I get all the seats and stuff, but its all on a black background. I have been in touch with support and Im awaiting a answer.
I'll put up with it for now and see how I do.

Good luck at the felt

Finished 17th in the tourney you won today, simor. Just couldn't sustain with the high blinds. Kept getting playable starters with no flops and faded away. Nice job.

Nice one. It seems to be a pretty good site. I've ran my roll up to $170 playin cash tables, and a couple more MTTs.

The $10k freeroll starts in 10 minutes, I was playing 3 tables the past two hours to build up the comp points to qualify! lol

If any of you are in it, good luck. Hopefully see you at the final table.

If you click on the finish window and use Alt-Print Scr it only picks up the active window instead of your whole desktop.

Thanks.

I'm just surviving, 100 left, sitting 88th. Guaranteed $20 but in dire need of a double up.

Have noticed there's a player called SuzeeQt playing, I think I recognise the name from here. Good luck if i'm right anyway. You have way more chips than me anyway.

Would've been sitting a lot nicer but for one haand where I shoved with AK suited, fop comes 2 8 K rainbow, three in art this point. One of the guys shoves the flop, turns over KQ, turn 2, river 2. Split pot. Brutal.

A split pot is seldom "brutal". Turn 2, river Q is brutal.

Yeah, I have done the same thing. It is seldom obvious that runner-runner trips make both houses or that a pair will counterfeit your higher kicker.

I just checked this out tonight since CC has the freeroll series on there. Seemed like a high number of 3 suited flops with the four flush hitting on the river. Saw it 3 times at my table and was the victim the 3rd time. KJ vs KJ. Also saw A 10 vs A5 vs 33 with a 5 flopping.

So far this site is a combo of FT and bodog, IMO.

At least the shark and donkey animations are cool.
