PokerMemento - v1.0.1

PokerMemento 1.0.1 was just released! A couple of new features were added, and all known issues were fixed. If you're not familiar with this free piece of software, then read on!

Import Games
PokerMemento lets you import poker games from text-based hand history files, and store them in a single database file. A well-designed Lua scripting language makes the parser highly dynamic, capable of parsing almost any poker game log. Automatic hand history import with filtering options is also available.

Search Games
You can search for games matching certain criteria, grade your games and tag them with personal comments. PokerMemento is also able to find games by their characteristics; such as 'Bad beat' or 'Drawing Dead'.

Replay Games
When you have found the games you are looking for, you can put them in a replay queue, and then sit back and watch your own WSOP - in fullscreen if you'd like! The rendering of the poker table is also controlled by the script engine, which effectively allows for any visual experience.



Share Games
My goal of this software is to change the way online poker players think about their games - a day, a week, or any other period of time after the games took place. PokerMemento users can instantly share their poker experience via MSN and ICQ.

Analyze Games
PokerMemento has a very powerful statistics engine, which can easily produce nice 2D/3D column charts, bar charts, point charts, pie charts, line charts, and area charts from a simple data query. The Database Manual includes all information you will need to write your own queries.




PokerMemento SDK
PokerMemento comes with a few scripts for the most popular poker sites. The author himself cannot make the parser fully compatible with all poker client software, but with the help of the community this is a feasible task. The PokerMemento SDK comes with a set of classes and functions that let you write Lua scripts for your favorite poker site. Well-written scripts might be included in future releases.

Create Animations/Videos
This is simply so cool! PokerMemento lets you generate a game video/animation - to be published on YouTube or anywhere else on the web. James Bond already made it into the hall of fame:

I downloaded it and I certainly liked the interface, but could you explain the advantages of using this to using the filters and hand replayer in HEM, I just couldnt figure out what it did that HEM didnt do.

It's kind of hard for the author to find the error without more information, wouldn't you agree? Send the problematic hand history log to the support!

You don't think poker utilities can coexist? HEM is a totally different piece of software. Just like PTS. Advantages? It's free. If you find it useful, use it. Otherwise, don't.

Does that mean that it dosent do anything that HEM does already?

I have no idea. Why not make a feature matrix comparison? :P

Also, PM focuses on the replay experience (e.g. game queue + fullscreen + original graphics + original sounds). For analysis of games, you are probably better off with other software - even though PM does indeed have a powerful statistics engine.

Its certainly got a nice user interface but where it falls down as a replayer is that you wont have the HUD stats on display that you would have with the HEM or PT3 display.

Im just struggling to think of a scenario where someone who had PT3 or HEm would use this (bearing in mind that the vast majority of people who would be interested in something like this would have HEM or PT3)

PT3 doesn't have a Hand Replayer AFAIK? Least I've not found it yet

Now that you have "found" the replayer in PT3, can you understand why I just cant see why anyone with either HEM or PT3 would ever use PokerMemento?

I agree. Both HEM and PT3 have everything you'd need. Still though, there are plenty of micro-stake/freeroll players that will not buy them. Free software like this is treat for them.

I have been trying it out as well. I'm a cheapskate I guess - don't like paying for software I can get for free - not interested in the sign-up bonus deposit stuff right now. It looks promising.
