Poker in US Hey guys, I was a pokerstars guy. I don't like having a bunch of different sites, so I don't really want to randomly click the links provided above. I was thinking lay low as far as deposits. I don't understand why people don't think the us gov will go after smaller sites after they hit these big ones. everyone is saying, "its just ftp and stars. bodog is still taking players." If the gov can effectively remove ftp and pokerstars from the us don't you think they would do it again with the smaller until there are no more international rooms accessible to us players? I just don't want to dive into bodog or something else just to be in this same situation in a few months. that being said, i love playing poker, but the play chips are so ridic. so do any of the rooms linked have good freerolls? I was thinking let them sort out stars/ftp play some freerolls on another site, see what happens the maybe deposit if i have to. any recs? does cc have any freerolls running on us sites?

We can learn from our mistakes. Deposit at one of these sites build a roll but instead of leaving a large amount online just leave a smaller amount and make frequent withdrawals and deposit as needed. It is true that they could easily go after Carbon or Bodog next but the reason that AP, FTP and PS were indicted is not just because they allowed US players. Check in with CarbonAtil to find out more on why carbon might be safe through all of this.

That may work for deposits and withdrawals, but FT and PS would still block you from playing because of your U.S. IP address, right? |

Correct me if i'm wrong but it seems like sites would be legal if they were based in the US and not overseas. Are there any based in US that would avoid all this drama? It seems like any of the casinos could hire a small group of software and web designers and have something set up in a short time. Is this too logical or is there some reason the casinos that are already in the US and have to pay US taxes don't have this? or is there one? I'll admit i didn't dig too deep but i'm not seeing anything that truly makes carbon feel safe. I saw it someplace on another thread but someone mentioned if carbon did find some way to keep everything legal for US, FTP and pokerstars would have been doing the same. am i missing something here too?

Also, looking into the legality of lock, it says its legal because it doesn't take bank transfers. it says a credit card, which seems like the same thing to me, since the credit cards are based from some sort of bank. and mentioned no withdraw options. would it credit back to my card? Is this what all the still legal sites are saying? if so it just seems sketchier and sketchier.
