| Poker Training Websites Im going to make a new account soon on pokerstars, and im going to deposit through a site which claims to give free packages of certain training sites if you deposit and a FPP requirement is met. I play mostly SNGs MTTs but wouldnt mind learning cash better too. The available offers are: 3 months at poker VT 6 months at deucescracked 1 month cardrunners 6 months poker pwnage 6 months stox poker Has anyone had any experience with these? Im looking more at the deuces cracked one at the moment as it seems reputable (even though it is mainly directed at cash?). The 6 months at the pwnpoker also seems a option as this is supposedly aimed at MTTs mostly? thanks i hope you can help! |

As for which is best, the real question to look into is how much and how well each one focuses on the games and levels that fit you; e.g. if you mainly play $3-$5 SNGs, it's probably best to look at sites that have more relative emphasis on those levels and maybe a bit higher. |

Most sites offer free trial memberships, and some like DragTheBar and DeucesCracked do not employ DRM and allow you to download as much as you like during the trial period to watch at your leisure. If you don't pay to continue you'll lose out on the expert discussions around the videos as well as future videos, but it could give you something to start with that will demonstrate the value of the site. Finally, while I don't consider CardRunners an optimal choice for a micro-stakes, beginner player, if you can earn enough points on FT each month you can get free membership through their TrulyFreePokerTraining promotion (Google it). Stox was more suited to the lower stakes players and was also available through TFPT, but it closed down a few months ago. |

| re: Poker Training Websites I am interested in everyone's experience too. Anyone game to continue this thread giving a 1-5 rating for what they have tried? Deepstacks 2 Mostly tournaments, interaxtive thing is nice, but a little overly simplistic Poker VT 3 Did the trial, and it seems like there isnt a lot of content coming in every week. Anyone else? |

Bluefire ( 5stars) especially for mid-high stakes plo cash, nlhe cash. Cardrunners ( 3stars ) lately most of their famous coaches left but there have been some good additions also. all-around. Deucescracked ( 4stars ) best all around site imo. top pick for limit he players. Coaches are very active and friendly in the forums. DragtheBar ( 3stars ) relatively new site, has some good coaches. Leggo ( 5stars ) Best for nlhe cash. PokerPwnage ( 2 pokerstars ) for mtts Pokernews Strategy (3-5 stars) havent tried after the re-opening but they have some awesome coaches (urnotindanger, nannoko) Pokersavvy+ (3 pokerstars ) most of their good coaches left, but archieve is good. SNGrinders ( 4 pokerstars ) best pick for 6 max and 9 max sngs. |
