Poker tracker for macintosh
I did a search before this post and didn't come up with anything. I'm looking for tracking software for a macintosh.
Have any of you used MacPoker Pro? It's the only one I've hear of specifically for the mac. I tried a demo of it a few years ago when PokerRoom still let U.S. players on their site and it worked pretty good. I don't know how it works with Tilt and Stars. Are any of you using it now and if so, how do you like it? Thanks |

To be honest I don't think PT3 will be out any time soon for Mac (2009 last rumour I heard but nothing concrete). Their focus is going to be on ironing out the problems on the PC version.
From what I have read on forums Mac Poker Pro has no support these days. Maybe someone else can confirm? I've just started using Poker Copilot, which is a native Mac app. It's not Poker Tracker but it's got the basics and is developing really quickly. The new version is a serious leap forward (much better HUD than before), certainly for cash games. I'm playing micro NL and have covered the cost for it twice over in 2000 hands. Just waiting for variance to kick in now! There's a free trial so it's certainly worth a look. Good luck Pav |

The last time I talked with the PT3 guys (about 3 months ago) they said they had to finish PT3 for the PC first. They only recently re-released the full commercial version (build 3) after MONTHS of re-doing beta versions. IMO these guys really underestimated the software timeline and in the process made promises they could not keep.
If PT3 is released on Mac, I doubt even late 2009 is realistic. Sorry! |

You might well be right.
At the end of the day the Mac poker tracking market can't be too big. Much as I love my Mac it's not ideal for poker (lack of choice). No idea what percentage of poker players go on to buy tracking software but I would guess not many. It's a no-brainer for PT unfortunately. They've got to get the PC version working first. Hey ho. |

Use Boot Camp or Parallels to run Windows. Unless you have an older Mac then it's a bit harder. You need to use Virtual PC and it kind of sucks. But I use Boot Camp to run windows and I don't have to worry about compatibility issues w/ poker sites and PT3 would obviously work fine. If anybody needs help setting up an Intel powered Mac o w/ windows I would be happy to lend my advice.
