Poker tournament Strategy Hi, I have read 5 books on Texas holdem stategy. They all recommend tight aggressive play. But when I watch TV tournies all the players at the final tables appear to be loose bluffers. Please comment. Thanks

A couple of things to keep in mind. Once you reach the ante/blind levels of a major tornament final table, sitting around waiting for premium cards is a luxury no one can afford for long; hence looser play. Secondly, and maybe more to the point, TV coverage is heavily edited. Big bluffs, miracle catchs with ATC make for exciting television, hence that's what you see. This year's WSOP ME final table took more than 16 hours to play; you'll see 3 hous of actual play, at most, im ESPNs segments.

You just gotta play your opponent, don't believe everything in the videos or books, most discuss specific live tournaments and don't hold much weight when it comes to online play. Just practice: play different structured tourneys, play different buy-ins. You'll find out what works and what doesn't. Always adapt your play to who is at your final table.
