Poker Stars Survey?

I received a survey from Poker Stars today that offered 300 Frequent Player Points for completing it. I assume it was in response to the fact that I now (after many years of having an account and playing there on and off in freerolls and play money games) actually have a $.25 "bankroll" due to a "cash" in a recent freeroll, since I have very rarely received ANY communication from them. Anyway, I happily completed it, as that is a considerable boost to the 5 FPPs I had prior to this and I see they have FPP buy-in tourneys.

Anyone else ever receive one of these?

I heard there was a scam involving a pokerstars survey.

I hope you didnt key in your password as part of doing the survey.

If you did your account has been compromised.

Genuine PokerStars people will NEVER ask you for your password.

Yea I actually got it for the second time now First one was last year.

I also have a good guess for you on how to invest the FPP's

Good advice there, the survey I took was through an official pokerstars e-mail and they never asked for a password.

if hipshot is talking about the survey i think he is talking about its a real customer suport survey PS is doing.

I would recament using some of the FPP for a 210fpp sat to sunday 200k,its way easy to cash and u can just unregister and get the 11T$

Nope, it was the geniuine article. I always thoroughly check out the FULL header information on any emails of this sort I receive by running the full email through SpamCop.

And the only "personal" info that was asked was my site "handle" at the conclusion of the survey. No password, address, phone or other information requested.

I got one of these e-mails .I copmpleted on March 1st .I got the 300 FPP a day later on March 2nd.I now have 517 FPP.

Yeah, i got one, very nice of them. I haven't deposited and it was basically asking why and trying to find out how it could make me. Took me 2 mins for 300 FPP. Thank you very much PS

i already received a couple of those surveys! and i think if you contacted one of their support dept in the previous months, they will send you the survey on well did they support... depending on which dept you in inquired.

so, ask a lot of questions and you may get a survey or two... ;-)

The survey was legit. I also remeber getting it last year. I completed it yesterday and the points were there this morning.

Yea, they're legit, but as someone pointed out, don't give out your password.

I have played off and on like you have for years now as well as many other poker sites and never have one of these surveys came up. I know certain sites like to run promotions but never in the form of a survey. This same scam was said of Ultimatebet, Absolute, and fulltilt. All of these scams are an attempt to get your information for that site, be very careful and always contact support when things seem fishy or to good to be true.

I have been on Poker pokerstars for a while and never received one of these surveys. I wonder what the criteria is that they go by to send those out?

Wasn't a scam and I use the points in point buyins

Its definately not a joke.. I got the survey 2 times so far..

I also think that they only send it to people who used their support. Only logic to ask people about support who also used their support imo

So maybe write some mails to support@pokerstars.com and ask some silly questions..

I have never contacted pokerstars support, i received the email a few days ago. Filled it in this morning, only took 5 minutes.

It is not a scam. I did it as well and there was no request for a password. You will get the FFP's on 11 March.
