I also E-mailed them which failed, so I think the whole site is down, so I have faith that all will be reimbursed for their troubles as PokerStars has the best support network that I have encountered on any site.
With that said there will be no blind outs if the whole site is down, the games are just stopped IMO.

Somebody probably tripped on a cord.

Or the IT guy spilled his coffee and shorted the whole thing out.

I was up at both of my Omaha tables, but losing the current hands I was playing. I can only hope all current hands are cancelled.

Kind of old news now, but this is the email i got, which will give you an idea of how they handled the money. I love how they spell canceled with the extra L. Technically I guess both are correct?

(Oddly enough I was only playing here because Bodog was having problems.)

PokerStars Tournament #59620358, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $1.00/$0.20
9 players
Total Prize Pool: $9.00
Tournament started - 2007/08/28 - 23:25:00 (ET)

Dear vanaus1,

Tournament #59620358 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.

When a tournament is cancelled before players are in the money, we
refund
each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the prize pool
based
on the following formula:

- 50% of the award pool distributed evenly between remaining players
- 50% of the award pool distributed proportionally according to the
chip
count

At the time of cancellation there were 8 player remaining, and your
chip
count was 1,540. Total chips in play were 13,500.

Prize pool to be divided equally: $9.00/2 = $4.50
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $9.00/2 = $4.50

Your share in money equally divided: $4.50/8 = $0.56
Your share based on chip count: $4.50 x (1,540/13,500) = $0.51
Your entry fee refunded: $0.20
Total money refunded to your account: $1.27

We apologize for the inconvenience.

The PokerStars Team
