Poker Software Questions

I've decided recently to get back into poker again and since I live in a country where playing live games is basically illegal, I'll be doing a lot of playing online.
For that reason, I'm thinking to pick up a variety of poker software tools to help me out. Among them is software that will help me maintain records of my games.
I'm looking for something that keeps track of a lot of details, among them start/end time, ROI, win rate, hand histories, hand replays, bet/raise/call/fold percentages, as well as specific history with specific hands (how much I win/lose with AA, for example).
It would also help if it could keep track of my opponents' play, provide graphs/charts and export data, and could help me keep track of live games, as well.
Right now, these are the programs I'm aware of:
Check Your Bets (web-based)
Poker Office
Poker Dominator (web-based)
Poker Journal
Poker Academy Prospector
Poker Charts (web-based)
Poker Tracker
I'm also thinking to pick up an odds calculator.
Specifically, I'd like an odds calculator that works for all forms of poker.
Also, I'd like one with an HUD and hopefully that offers advice on how to play certain hands.
Right now, these are the programs I'm aware of:
Poker Calculator Pro
Poker Office
Hold Em Indicator
Calculatem Pro
Poker Vitals
Poker Weapon Calculator
Poker Sidekick
Poker Pal (all varieties)
Texan Buddy
Poker Stat
Hold Em Pirate
I'm also thinking to pick up a table selector (a piece of software that helps distinguish the loose/fishy tables from the tight/sharky ones).
I only know of two right now: Table Shark and Lobby Edge.
Finally, I'm thinking to buy an opponent tracker/database. These software keep track of how other players play and give info on their styles.
I'd prefer for this type of program to have an HUD display and offer advice on how to play against opponents.
This is a list of the programs I'm aware of:
Smart Buddy
Poker Office
Hold Em Indicator
Poker Edge
Poker Crusher
Poker Spy
Poker Charts (web-based)
Poker Sherlock
Poker Tracker
If you know anything about any of those programs, or any others, or have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

I just got Poker Tracker 3 up and running. Of course my only real bank roll at the moment is on Players Only and they do not allow such software. But you are able to convert the hands to a different site format and input them into PT3 to be able to check out your own stats (since they block the other players names), of course there are bugs when doing this so it is not really that great but can give you an idea.

I got it to use on Full Tilt, and of course realized that I have not many HHs saved. Recent reformats and no current BR on Full Tilt have left me with only a few hands (the reason for converting and inputting PO HHs just so I could have some information to check PT3 out with), but even with just those few games, mostly freerolls have given me a lot of information, but since them being freerolls I take it with a grain of salt. I can tell just looking at the stats that I play a lot looser in the FRs than I normally would. But I believe once I start adding in real games the information will be invaluable, and most likely I will delete every HH from Freerolls because I truly believe this information is throwing off the stats by a lot (well actually it can't be throwing anything off since I only have information from freerolls).

I believe Poker Tracker and Hold Em Manager will be the most used legal programs for use at full tilt and some other sites (maybe Poker Office also), but I can really only say for sure about Full Tilt. And I have not had much experience using PT3 so I am just giving my opinion from the little bit of time that I have tried it. And as for the other programs, have never tried them so have no idea.

Hold em manager is an awesome tool for analyzing your play an plugging leaks. I also use full tilt shortcuts to allow me to play 16 tables at a time on FTP because it saves you a ton of time, mouse movements, key strokes, etc.

re: Poker Software Questions

Thanks for the reply. Both Poker Tracker 3 and Hold'em Manager seem to garner the best reviews from poeple here and elseware. However, there isn't much info about the actual differences b/w the programs. Is it just a personal preference? What are the specific advantages to one vs the other program? Thanks.

I have a mac, so that's all the information I will have to give on.

Poker Co-Pilot is a good program that works on Mac computers with all of the things you are asking for, including hud. It's on par with the others in terms of $ (50ish) and the support is direct from the creator of the system itself. I think some other regs here use it as well and have no problems with it.

As far as macs go its one the few, and far and away the best option
