Poker Odds Software Is there software out there that will tell you your odds of winning a hand and takes into account villain folds. There is a thread in the Hand Analysis section that made think. It was basically what would you want AK suited or QQ. My theory is that although we are only 54% to win the hand preflop, villain doesn't make his hand and folds to our aggression a % of the time. So, this makes playing certain made pocket pairs that more valuable long term to play. But what is that % that villain folds? Given a set style of play (Villain always folds when he doesn't have a made hand and pot odds do not justify it) and (Hero always leads with a pot sized bet when board is not scary and there are no overcards) we should be able to determine what our ROI is. Has anybody found software that can do this?

Yes. Maybe even more than just that. With all the poker video games and such, I know that the arificial intelligence exists to actually play out hands. LAG, TAG, Passive players could be randomly placed in the hand and certain starting hands simulated over say one hundred thousand hands. This would give a much better representation of a hands preflop strength. My reasoning is that although certain starters like AK are only slight underdogs to JJ preflop, during the course of the hand the AK is going to fold before it is made a percentage of the time. What is the actual strength of JJ? What about AK? How about JJ vs. a combination of suited face cards?

re: Poker Odds Software Aha, I see what you mean. No, I do not think there's such a simulator. One of the sites (is it PokerRoom or Poker.com?) has statistics of all hands that are dealt at their site, showing expected wins, win percentages, etc. I realize that this isn't what you're looking for, but if you're interested in these things that might be an interesting thing to look at.
