Poker.com just called me up

I just got a phone call from a represenative of poker.com he said they are privately owned and are going to keep going,, he also said there calling there users, guess thats why they called me,, i told him that we have over 13,000 members here and to login here and talk to Nick, i told him we used to play there about a year ago and we moved cause their software gave everybody problems, he said they have new-upgraded software, and their site is fine now,, we had games there every Tuesday & Thursday for you guys that werent here then. Well maybe this is a good sign, i hope anyways, So if you see someone login from poker.com read what they have to say,, if he says he talked to Everett, Thats me,, Oh, Did anyone else get a call????>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> buck

Haven't gotten a call but haven't had funds there in awhile. Can't decide where to deposit now.....Full-tilt, Poker.com, Ultimatebet, or just PokerStars where the rest of my funds are now. I guess it will depend on if CC moves any of its events to another site. Nice to see some places are sticking with us.....for now.

I'm not too surprised... they've always had some of the best customer service anywhere. Can't say I've ever had a problem with the site, aside from bottoming out on my bankroll there.

Well, such service makes me lean more towards depositing at Poker.com. Before I was a stay at home mom, I was a retail store manager. Customer service (good customer service) has always been very important to me, and I'm always impressed when anyone goes above and beyond in this respect. Thanks for the info Everett.

("owned by" & "run by" are 2 different things)

Looks like they have a 100% reload bonus going on right now, too. Previously, it was tough to clear while I was playing .25/.50 NLHE. But I think I'll try it by playing 1/2 Limit. Here's the details:

VERSION 3.3 + 100% RELOAD BONUS
Help celebrate the new version 3.3 software and welcome all of our new members to the site with a 100% reload bonus in October.
Simply use the code "ILOVE33" with your next deposit and receive a 100% Reload Bonus*. That's a 100% Match Bonus Up To $100...

Poker.com has always been one of my favorite sites. The new version is quite good.

Customer service, including cash outs, has always been good there. In fact, I once e mailed Poker.com reps a suggestion for better customer service. They liked the idea, immediately implimented it, and gave me entry into a restricted freeroll as a way of saying thanks.

One thing I also like about Poker.com is that I don't seem to get busted out of every tournament by a miracle river card. More than any other site I play, my bad beats for and against seem to be about even.

No. They will give you a free $300. But, keep in mind, this promo is geared more toward the high roller types, so it's hard to clear the bonus at the lower limits.

Yes. If they give you 2 choices, take the lower of the 2. It's easier to clear.

The 300% bunus requires a LOT more points in a LOT less time. Stick with the 100% bonus, it's the only realistic one!

I didn't get a call. I missed those Tuesday and Thursday events on poker.com. The trouble was not too many people registered for them. Now that this US ban is taking place, I think more people will deposit on poker.com. Maybe we should give them another go?

Hello all,

Poker.com has not made random calls to players as you have described. You may have been contacted in association with account verification, however if this is not the case, it may have been an unsolicited call (potential fraud) in an attempt to gain access to your account. I suggest you change your password regularly and be very careful who you give personal details to. Poker.com staff or customer support will never ask for your account password via phone or email. If you can provide any further information this will greatly assist my investigation into this matter. Please notify fraud@poker.com if you have any information.

Nick is working with Poker.com directly to set up tournaments for Cardschat.com, please make all requests for tournaments with Nick and he can organize them on your behalf.

Thanks,

Paul
