Poker.com

I have to say, I have played at many poker sites and some have their pros and cons but Poker.com impressed me. Not only is the game play fast, you can create your own table in a snap. I also enjoy the cool background music. I don't know much about their customer service support but so far, this site is probably one of the best I've played. What do you think of Poker.com?

Carbon PokerCarbon Poker operates on the relatively new Merge network. This is a great site for freerolls. Get a bonus of 300% upto $600 using Carbon Poker coupon code CCHAT600.

Absolute PokerAbsolute Poker offers online poker games to US players with a $500 sign up bonus.

I like the site as well. It has a clean, modern feel to it. I have played a couple of freerolls there and have had no problems. I am considering depositing $50 and buying into some tourneys if we get anything going there.

It used to be slow, but the upgraded their servers a few weeks ago. I'm planning to deposit there soon.

It's fast becoming one of my favorite sites. I love it that you can create your own table to your own stakes. And the card drops seem to match live play more closely than other sites.

I also like the fact that they show the percentages to win during a showdown. I don't know too many 9if any) poker websites that do that.

I'm glad you folks like it so far. I searched long and hard for a site that had enough flexibility to run our special events. So far, my dealings with our customer rep have been smooth. I'm looking forward to a good turnout at our first scheduled buy-in event next Tuesday at 5 PM EST...

Their customer service is awesome, quick, responsive and polite . I love
Poker.com..it's easy to rack up raked hands to play in the bigger freerolls
but I just can't win a SNG to save my life there

Both emails I've sent have been responded to within five minutes. That's pretty impressive. The fact that they, unlike Party Poker's staff, actually read what I wrote and responded in a personal tone and referred to what I had asked, makes it HUGELY impressive.

It's still not my favorite site, but they have some very cool features. My main concern is that the games seem slow, which I suspect has to do with people leaving the animations on and therefore "waiting for their cards". But I can live with that.

I play poker.com probably 90-95% of the time. Much better since their upgrade and the freerolls every two hours allow you to play almost continually all day if you want. I'd love to see some events there.

I deposited there over the weekend. Noticed they have lots of Omaha tables and no one playing on them... managed to find one other person for some heads-up play yesterday, though.

Does anyone know what the varying numbers and colors of pokerstars on people's identity bars indicate there?

I think poker.com is the best set up out there at the moment. It's run really well, the freerolls are good and it's nice to be able to set up your own tables.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Chris and I represent Poker.com. If you have any questions feel free to post them and I will try and respond as quickly as I can.

I find it encouraging that many of you enjoy our poker room. It is good to hear more positives than negatives.

I wish you all luck in the Cardschat Buy-in Tournament.

Regards,

Chris

I first went to Poker.com to take part in the Cardschat comps and was immediately impressed by what i found.

I did turn the music off but thats only because i usually play with the tv on (baseball, poker shows etc).

- They show the most frequent players and comps they have won - see the website.

- I think Pokerroom does.

Overall it seems the site is getting a big thumbs up

We've got a game tonight at 10 GMT - if everyone that posts on this thread plays then we'd have a good game.

Jeez, Rob and I actually agree on something - we are hoping this takes off as a lot of folks have asked for a cheaper event. You'll notice that Chris from Poker.Com actually visits us so if you have questions, please ask...

It explains it on the site, 30% on up to a $200 deposit, can't remember how many raked hands you have to play, go look at the site.

They have 6-max.

Hi, to receive the bonus in full it is 10 raked hands per $1 in bonus.

Cheers Chris

Yer the cunning thing is that only hands you actually put money into the pot are counted as a raked hand (assuming that it is then also raked) unlike most other places where being dealt in a pot thats raked counts.

As always read the T&C!

Poker.com is my favourite by far, though the change of the freerolls to 1000 people rather than 2000 has made them all but impossible to get in unless you hang out in the lobby. Was very disappointed when they made that change. (A freeroll today with 1000 people was full in just 3 minutes.)

If I had one complaint, it would be the responsiveness of the software. Occasionally I'll hit the button to check, call etc... And nothing will happen. I've had it fold a few hands despite the fact I was trying to call or raise. This is when the connection meter was fully green.

Poker.com is my room of choice, followed by Absolute.

I'll add that unlike some other sites (like Absolute), Poker.com doesn't have any requirements as to how big the rake has to be for the hand to count, though. Poker.com bonus clears fairly easily, IMO. Sites where they don't have the requirement to put money in the pot must have tougher requirements somewhere else to compensate, and it's usually in either number of raked hands required or how big the rake must be.

But yes, read the Terms&Conditions. Many poker sites have written them in a very confusing manner, though, and often the information you want isn't readily available. This is where emailing support comes in.

It's not entirely unheard of to count only hands where you've contributed to the pot... although it's more common with affiliate payments (Paradise, for example, counts a raked hand normally for bonus payments, but only counts ones where you contributed for the affiliate CPA commissions).
It would be nice if there could be some agreement on a standard term for this, though. Something like 'contributing hand', perhaps. If enough people could agree on a term to pursuade the poker sites to use it then we wouldn't all need to work out how the site has chosen to interpret 'raked hand'...

www.poker.com/shetland

Hi Guys

I'm really glad so many of you have found Poker.com, it really is going to be the biggest and slickest site for playing poker.

Over the last six months this site has come on in leaps and bounds, they have pre-suggested in the forum changes such as limited rebuys for the play money players that caused an uproar from many members but as time unfolded it has made this area so much more fun for all and indeed silenced the pre-change critics.

Also they do respond to your enquiries and suggestions and have kindly supported the growth of poker in Shetland by giving us our own web page www.poker.com/shetland and sponsered our local tournaments.

Great site, great people, great fun, that is what it is all about.

Cheers Liam, Helen and all the guys

I've been moving money into and out of Poker.com for months with no problems at all. Their customer support is first rate and I have a good relationship with their customer service rep if anyone has problems. Chris from the site also visits the form occasionally...

Guys...this thread is over 13 months old. Surely if this topic is truly relevant, you could start a new thread fresh with current info.

I just started playing at Poker.com a few days ago and I think it's great. You can easily turn down the music by going to setting on the bottom of the home page.
