Hello everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has any information on where i can buy real poker cards like the one that are used in a casino that are thick plastic coated. I tried Kem and it is plastic but not thick like casino cards.

Also i'm looking for high denomination ALL clay poker chips with denominations of 5,000 25,000 100,000 250,000 500,000

If you guys know where i can get these items please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Brian

How thick are you looking for? FWIW the plastic cards most casinos use aren't actually usually thick because it would make them much stiffer and therefore much more difficult to shuffle - I'd be surprised if a deck of Kems was significantly thinner than anything else you'd find.

Re: Poker chips and cards

The chip question depends on several factors:

  1. Amount you want to spend
  2. whether the chips can be composite at all
  3. whether the denominations are negotiable
  4. and last, how many you need
I used to host a monthly NLHE tourney. It was invitatation only, and we played at the police departments req center. it usually had around 50-70 entrants. I bought the chips off eBay, as well as some poker felt.
I got all my cards from the casino nearby. they give them away after they are done with them. although the casino punches them prior to giving them to me, they are still in pristine condition, with a great feel.
So, that being said, if you want brand-new ones, there are a few websites that sell them. What you are looking for is plastic coated linen finish.

Just wondering why? 100% plastic last way longer and shuffle/handle way, way better.

As to casino cards , go to a casino they either give them away or sell them at a good discount ( the cards used at the tables in the casino). They will punch a hole or crop the corner but they still play perfectly fine.We used to load up on them when I worked in a refinery as our grubby hands ruined them during our lunch and break time games pretty quickly.

It doesn't look thick, but it is a little stiffer than a Kem plastic card. I can tell when i peek at my cards that it's definetly stiffer than a Kem card. I haven't tried Copag or any of the other brands yet. Thanks for your reply!

Hey Thanks a lot i really appreciate that. I didn't know the key word "linen finish." But i did look at the site u provided on casinosupply and none of the cards say anything about linien finish, just that they're plastic coated. I live like 15 minutes from Atlantic City so maybe next time i'm there i will ask them if they have any cards. I didn't know they gave them out. Thanks for replying! It is greatly appreciated!

I made mine on *link removed*

Basically you have to create your own card back designs but the quality is the same as casinos.

I went to Caesars in Atlantic City NJ and i asked them if they give away their old poker decks and they told me they don't give out the poker decks, but they do give out the decks out on the floor, meaning a deck used for blackjack or any other card game, and the material is totally different than a poker deck.
