Poker After Dark Season Finale: Railbird Heaven 2 weeks of new cash games!

Lineup:Patrik Antonius, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, and Phil Hellmuth.

The match will begin airing on NBC late night Monday at 2:05 a.m., December 7, and will continue for five consecutive nights in the same time slot. A special program called the “Director’s Cut” will air late night Saturday, December 12, at 1:00 a.m., right after Saturday Night Live.

Is this series gonna continue, they are already on in the nosebleed times. I heard the ratings were not doing well. Lets start a petition to keep the show, I dont want to see it go. Great lineup though

I can't wait to see those new episodes all of those players are high stakes cash players except phil helmuth I dont think he'll be doing well in this week of poker after dark. Also I think Gus Hansen is out of his league in this one. I think the main winners from this week action is Patrick Antonius, Phil Ivey, and Tom Dwan no doubt about it and Daniel Negreanu, Phil Helmuth, and Gus Hansen will all be in the negative when this is done.

just watched the first episode of this lineup. have to see that the poker is incredibly boring, but their conversation is nothing short of hilarious.

I do want someone to mention Isildur1 so they can make fun of Durrrr for losing 5 million dollars to Isidur1 but it would be a low blow if he did make fun of Dwan that is a big blow to Durrrr's year.

It was taped many months in advance. Possibly even before this years WSOP even.

I always DVR these shows. Hopefully it lasts another season...It might because theres a strong following and the ratings wont ever be that good because of its time slot.

Either way, I'm going to enjoy the next two weeks of shows.

thanks, id had hoped that it would continue. I would be distrout if they took it off. its the only poker i get on my tv in the boonies..lol. Are there any other live shows on regular tv?

I watch one episode of this week poker after dark and they had so many prop bets going on but the one that was crazy was everyone wagered 100k on a hand they weren't even dealt yet and haven't seen so basically they are putting 100k on the line in the dark they didnt even hesitant except for phil helmuth. Patrick antonius won the first one and Gus Hansen won with the second 100k prop bet. Sometimes I wonder if they actually pay eachother the money they throw away. Unless they have a lot of money I dont know about which is probable but I do check up stats of many poker pros.

IT a good show to watch, learn some nice tricks from that show that helped

The side bets and the side conversations is pretty funny, nice lineup of players for this cash game. I've only watched Mondays and Tuesdays episode, but it seems with 4 players down so much already the real game will start finally lol.

So far in this game PA is playing pretty well Daneil has that caught in the head light look to him.Gus is well niting it up two words i thought would never be in the sam sentence.Ivey is playing fair,durrr is realing owning the table thus far,and phily willy is the same o NIT.

Loved watchin the cash game episode with: Dwan, Elezra, Lederer, Sahamies, Ivey + Antonius. The prob bets and the blind rising were sick. Loads of juicy action flying around.

Just watched episode 25/26/27 and they were mint!!
Super sick on how these people gamble. 5 players posted $100k blind and took a huge gamble lol. Dwan was dead by the turn which was funny as owt.

Well i don know about you I have satelite and it is on NBC which for me is channel 30.

you can watch these shows on the internet on a site called pokertube. i watch all the good show there, they have everything. wsop, high stakes poker, wpt, pad and more.

couple of interesting hands:

Dwan leads flop and turn with A-high, with PA calling with his gutshot SF draw.

Dwan finally makes a hand on the river and leads out large...PA raises him huge with his busted draw. Dwan goes "WOW!," tanks a bit, and calls.

So much history between the two, but I'm surprised Dwan bets the river there -- I suppose he is trying to get value from 77-99 or something, but he has to think draws are a big part of PA's range. I still think check-call is the better line.

Later, Dwan raises with KTo, checks top pair, calls the turn after Phil Ivey takes the lead with a jack, and folds the river when it flushes and pairs the board.

Another KT hand: Daniel Negreanu raises Gus Hansen's double straddle with KTo, flops 2nd pair and check-raises Gus -- I suppose he had an epic read that Gus would defend and then stab at it with anything.

I love this show I watch it every night I even watch the repeats, I think tom Dwan is a maniac and I think the pokerbrat is way out of his league even worst than Hansen. I love the 100k preflop blind bets I think thats crazy could you imagine that its just out of this world. Anyway I think it would be a shame if this show went off the air

Not that far in advance. Durrrr talked about having to go tape the show to Isildur1 during one of their 1st sessions. Isildur1 asked him the next day how it went and Durrrr said something along the lines of winning 400k.

The last hand of the night was so sick

Hellmuth with 10s PA 4s & Durrrr KQ called

10 9 7 Ivey flopped a straight and Hellmuth flopped top set bet call then all the money in on the river


Brutal but it's funny to see Hellmuth steam

I enjoyed that hand o so much.Hellmuth fold fold fold for hours smoth calls Ivey's preflop raise with 10s sooooo sweet to watch.An one of the best things about this hand was at the end of it he had to barrow money from durrrr,after all the talk about waiting to trap him.

The only way that hand could have been better was if Dwan had the straight instead of Ivey, given the history between the two.

EDIT: Also, epic call by Dwan on PA's river raise.
