pocket Aces

in the last 4 tournaments i lost all my chips with pocket aces, because i moved all in.
can anybody tell me how can i play them to get as many chips as possible without getting many risks to lose for 2 pairs, flush or straight?

With pocket aces, you don't want to play with a lot of players. You don't want to generate a 6 way pot because then you're just setting your self up to be sucked out on. Now as to how much you should raise it really depends on the situation( Blinds, Opponents, etc). Now generally, give it a 3x BB raise but thats not a very accurate play in all situations.

I generally pot raise it with AA.

This can be a substantial raise if there are a few limpers in the hand.

Not getting value with AA sucks, but getting KO'd with them is alot worse.

Just raise it a bit extra to get more people out of the hand.

It really depends (for me) on position, table personality and what action has gone on at the table so far. I very rarely go all in pf unless my stack size makes it necessary.

That sucks, it all depends on situation, I'd say you want one or two callers with AA on flop and 1 after to donate to you.
It depends on stakes but usually AA is 4x BB

Honestly, I need a little more information. Did you move allin preflop or postflop when you lost?

If preflop and someone called you, that's great (as lond as it was one caller, two the absolute most). You can't get a better situation than that. You just got unlucky but I guarantee you will win way more than you lose.

Now second case scenario, you raised preflop, got called then went all in after the flop. Well here, you have to practice reading and pot control. If you didn't improve on the flop, you only have top pair which is not a big hand post flop and doesn't warrant moving all in. Simply make a bet, 1/2 to pot sized to see where you're at. If you get called or reraised, slow down and figure out where you're at. Just because you were a huge favorite preflop doesn't mean you're a huge favorite post flop. You have to read the situation and practice some pot control.

There's a reason why they say AA is a "win little, lose big" hand. People think they're automatically supposed to win everyhand with them and severely overplay them.

I like pot raise good when everyone else just limps in like wd021 said you get too many people in the hand more then likely someone is going to beat you with a shit hand to like 2-7 off those ones want make me want to throw my laptop out the window. When ever I slow play them I get burned becarful play smart

Yu should have to play according to the situation and should read the players in your table. Always goes for allin for AA is not good. I even folded my AA after seeing flop. Raise upto 10bb so that no of peopple seeing flop will be reduced. It should definetly helps you!!

I always start small until I see the cards on the table cuz then you only have some invested and still have chips to play with and can fold when the flop isn't in your favor.

shylax is pretty dead on the money here.Don't get completly married to them after the flop preflop of course bad luck .

just remember when you get aces all you can do is raise enough so that hopefully everyone doesn't fold, but hopefully there aren't 4 other people seeing the flop.
if 1 or 2 call you've done all you can preflop, now bet hard and hope they hold
if they don't, that's why theyre only a 4-1 favourite

Would never slow play pre-flop and the raise (or re-raise) depends on position, type of opponents, and how many. Isolation is important. Wouldn't go all-in unless forced to by a raise put in by a player acting before you and your stack is smaller than the bet.

If i am utg, i will raise a substantial amount. For example, if the blinds are 10/20, with a starting stack of 1500, and i'm under the gun, i will raise to 200 online, because a lot of players will call a raise of 100. What i'm trying to do is isolate anyone with a real hand or enduce a reraise. If they shove i call and if they re-raise i push because your aces will hold 80 percent of the time, so you will still make money over the long run. I really don't want more than one player seeing the flop when i have aces. If they just call my raise when i am utg, i'm all in on the flop. If i'm on the button and there is a raise before to 3x the blinds ( assuming the same structure and blinds as mentioned before ) i will reraise to 12x the blinds, and again if they push i call and if they reraise i push. I really dont want them to even have a chance to suck out on me.

There is no "Best Way" to play with A's. a lot of people would go all in or make a very big raise to get rid of players and stay with 1 or 2 callers.
On the other hand, there are a lot of players that just limping in are make a small raise to get action from the other players.
Every time you play you can run into some1 that got lucky against you. But if you play aggressivle preflop your risk is lower, but if you lose to luck you lose usually big pot.
My favorite play is slowly, limp in and then raise/reraise big postflop. If i'm short stack, all in of course.
