Playing any 2 suited cards in limit holdem

Hi all.

I`m sitting in a $1/2.00 limit game on stars. I am not getting any decent hands, but I am seeing hand after hand won by ppl playing what looks like any 2suited cards in any position.

What seems to happen is that if they miss their suit they catch 2 pair/ trips/ FH. because of the cards they are playing with it is near impossible to put them on a hand. I`ve watched 86s on the SB calling a raise and a reraise and catching on flop.

I have not got stats to back me up, but can anyone prove this is a long term losing play???

It might just be me getting real p****d off, but it makes me wonder.

I`m interested in stats, not someone telling me to try it out - I don`t have the luck needed to catch. (or is it I just happen to be at tables most days when ppl are getting their `share` of luck?)

As if to prove my point, this hand has just happened...

I've also seen people play with 72 and win...does that mean we should be playing them?

I believe you are about an 8:1 dog to flop a flush DRAW, and about a 2:1 dog to make if you see the river.

I think it is an 7:1 to catch a flush period if u start with 2 suited cards. If u r 1 card to a flush after the flop u r about 4:1 turn and 4:1 the river, or, if u go all in on the flop u r 2:1 to hit by the river.

Could it be simply that the better players can get away with doing this against the likes of me? They know when I play high stakes for me that I will play premium hands and they can get away from them when I bet.

Just a thought.

You are mistaken.
8:1 to flop the draw, 124:1 to flop the flush straight out.

This is what I see for this level of play. First of all you in micro limits and limit poker. Most people that play this level don't know how to play or just dont care. And its a buck or two to call. Second when you have 5 people in a hand a 68s is a very profitable hand most likely you have people with paint only in the hand and one or two Ax or Kx. If the flop is low which will happen at least 1/3 of the time someone that limped in with this or called a raise will get paid back 15 or 20 bb. Maybe im wrong here but in limit poker these kind of hands are the ones you make the most off of. They are sneaky hands.
