Played against Sponsored pro well In mid transition between sites I been playing $3/6 fixed limit holdem on full tilt. Multi tabling not done to bad, am up $300 in a two or three days, which is alright. I do think I kinda got a bit more luck then I average but there were also a quite a few fish around, who played like 1/2c fixed limit instead of $3/6. This is quite rare for these stakes so I guess the fish been there is kind of lucky to. I will quickly mention my hand against a total fish to give you an idea how bad they were, then I will mention my two hands against the pro because those were more interesting. fish raises with j8 off suit from early middle position. Normally I would stay away from someone raising from there with my suited AJ but considering how many hands this guy is playing, and how badly I decide to re raise to isolate this guy. everyone else quickly folds. flop comes akj rainbow. he bets out I re raise he re raises again. I call hoping to get extra value on turn. He bets out again I re raise again he re raises me. at this point I get concerned I might be behind but I know he would play KQ like this here probably any ace hand and kj. odds are i still ahead. i flat call his 3 bet and on the river he bets out again and I opt to just call. he turns over j8 off suit. He had no flush draw no straight draw and just a pair of Js with 8 kicker. taking down a pot of about $85 there, no wonder make so much with someone like that there This 9 handed btw not 6 handed. Now the interesting hands. Hal Lubarsky was multi tabling $3/6 fixed limit holdem. seems quite low stakes for a pro but then he isn't a huge name but I think he has won a few hundred k. Anyways my book commented the good players can make 2 big bets an hour roughly on these. Thats $12 per table. if he is playing about 8-10 tables thats $96-$120, after Rake back that could go as high as $200 an hour and I don't know his sponsorship deal but I guess thats still good money and since he mutli tabling I assume he is playing seriously. What is particularly surprising though is Hal is blind. He has special software which tells him by voice what's going on and I not sure but i think it voice controlled to. So multi tabling there must be challenge what's more impressive is my hands against him clearly shows he sussed me out, which means he was reading players, and my game whilst controlled is not ABC. First hand against Hal he raised in late position on the cut off (position before button) I had QhJh and putting him on a steal and with position decided to re raise. he called. flop came 9H8H don't remember other card but lower then an 8 with no straight draw relevance. He bet out I re raised with two over cards a gut shot draw and a flush draw I am willing to fight here. He re raised again I capped. turn came a blank he bet out I re raised again figuring if he re raised i could flat call but I still have a lot of outs and can represent big here. This may sound debatable if you hadn't been watching the table but I had been caught playing draws very aggressively on the flop and then getting a free check on the turn, against the tight aggressive players when I had position. Bearing this in mind he may have put me on a draw and come out fighting here I have a chance to say no I really have a hand. He folded. another hand he raises from middle position on another table and I have AK in the BB, against a single raiser I call medium suited connectors here if I think I have a general idea on there play. Raising from position means you can play KQ KJ J10 if you know what your doing and are very experienced and 77+. Thus he does not necessary have an A and with my AK it much less likely. However he has position on me and when an Ace flops i decide to check. he has position and I have shown no strength and he should be able to represent an Ace bet out and me fold. No he checks behind me. On the turn I bet out he folds. Well played I guess he knew what I was up too. What surprised me is this guy is blind and relies on specialist software, yet he not Multi tabling and playing ABC poker he is clearly getting reads on players and playing well. Which playing about 10 tables at once most online players would struggle to do let alone someone who is blind. I am not easy to read, and I adjust to players myself, But I can't play this many tables and read players this well. I was impressed. I only got in two hands against him and generally was playing there to make money not to play a pro so wasn't going out to challenge him. He taught me one thing that session I see him again I should keep out his way unless I am strong. Last edited by LukeSilver : 8th January 2010 at 3:17 PM.

Just a note. He also played in the world series of poker. They allowed him under a special rule where he has someone tell him what his cards are and the board. He needed the exception to the one-person to a hand rule. Just seen some video of him playing early this week. sorry no link. i don't know what software he uses but they made a refence to him hiring someone to read the screen for him.

re: Played against Sponsored pro poker That's an interesting story. I wouldn't imagine somebody on the rail telling him his hole cards, the board, and action on the hand. Of course, it's not a stretch for somebody to say something like "I think he's got you." Which of course is a violation of one player per hand, and we would be none the wiser of such activities. Not that I'm making accusations.

Hal Lubarsky did pretty good in his main even run, i think he went out in like 300th or something around that... its surprising that he can multi-table and still play good nonABC poker while being blind.. guess thats why he's a pro lol.
