Plastic or paper cards, or no cards at all?

There is another thread about cards which has a fatally flawed poll in it, as it has left out some vital options:

I have decided to do one which everybody can vote in, not just card fetishists, and I have included a lot more options. I have no playing cards in my house, I either play poker online or in a casino, and I am interested to know if that applies to other members of this forum.

The only place I have played with real cards against real people is at assisted living homes (three or four times). Otherwise, I'm an online-only player.

Now to my mind this was an attempt by a card nerd to try to make out that most regulars at a forum like this are card nerds too, which I would vigorously dispute. My asertion would be that far fewer than 90% of regular forum members here would have expensive plastic playing cards at home. I don't have any playing cards at home. Then when he did actually start a poll, he didn't make it a fair poll, as he only requested responses from fellow card nerds! No sign of cake or bastard as options, either!

So my poll is an opportunity for all forum members to help us prove that the majority of regular forum members here are not card nerds!

I have used Kems before at a home game. They were pretty nice.

Right now I have some old Cambor's that I bought 2 years ago and are still in perfect condition. I must say they are really thick and they tend to stick together sometimes. I use both Copag and Kem cards at work and I absolutely love the Copag's like 500x more. The Kem's are more of a slippery texture and they are a little bit harder to shuffle when brand new.

I use plastic cards and I like Copag's the best.

I believe this one is also flawed. Cake > Poker. I don't care who you are!

So why didn't you vote for cake - traitor!

So far 50% of voters in the poll have no cards at home...

haha i dont play much of cards at home unless we go on a vacation or holiday...and the game is usually different and not poker..something like gin or some other of our kiddo games..and yeah we play with pennies..lol

p.s.yes paper cards

Two thirds of voters now do have cards at home, and more than half of those people have the more expensive plastic cards...
