Whats so interesting? I'm sure most of those facts are known by most around here.

Also, I don't care if Phil Hellmuth is 6'5 and was the star of a diet coke commercial.

i think phill hellmut is the best tourney player...he has the x-ray view and so he know all the opponents card's....but also i think phil ivey will win more wsop titles than phill hellmut because ivey is the perfect poker player...is called tiger woods of poker vor many reasons...

IMO, Hellmuth is the most obnoxious professional poker player out there.

he whines like a little girl when he loses.

no comparison to Negreanu for knowing opponent's cards.

no comparison to Ivey for class.

Hate it or love him facts are facts. Phil Hellmuth is part of why poker is so big with moneymaker. he is one of poker most entertaining poker players.

BTW, I respect Hellmuth's poker skills, particularly in MTT 100%. He's just easy to hate because of the way he acts at the tables and the way he's always self-promoting.

I think it's funny that IF he is the World's Greatest Poker Player, as he so claims, why 3 out of 4 poker players can't seem to spell his name correctly.

By the time Ivey and Negreanu are as old as Hellmuth is they'll probably have more cashes than him.

I won't bet on it though 'coz Ivey and Negreanu have reduced the no. of events they play (they're able to bag more $$ by playing cash games than by winning the entire tournaments).

Being that 3 out of 4 people can't pass a 5th grade spelling test, I don't think that says too much.

Ah ok, that makes a little more sense now. I was kinda half expecting it was something he made in his spare time using Adobe Pagemaker or something and showing off both his 1337 pagemaker and poker skills.

hes a loser in cash games..the pro's love when Phil Hellmuth sits down, and the only reason he will probably hold the record is Phil Ivey has better things to do than play 2,500$ buy in holdem tournys during the wsop

Even if they cut down on their events that they are playing in... They will still probably play more events than was possible in the late 80s and most of the 90s when games were much more reduced.

79 out of ??? Why doesn't anyone ever keep track of those numbers? If it's 79 out of a small number ... impressive, if it's 79 out of 18302...less impressive.

Hes a has been. He was absolutly a phenom 10 years ago...the game has advanced and he hasnt. I have read his column in Card Player Mag for 10 years now and the only reason he still has a column is because he owns a piece of CP. His columns underwhelm me as they mostly talk about what a great read he made when he sucks out on a modern day good player and what a bad call he made when his hand was dominated. He reminds me of Brett Favre ..just dosnt know when to quit.

Dunno the exact number but I'm guessing somewhere in the 500 ballpark? His first bracelet was in 1989 so he's had 20 years since then, they run about 55 tournaments a year these days but it wasn't always that many and he couldn't have entered more than about half of them anyway given that he's a hold 'em specialist and there will be conflicting timetables.

Negreanu's number will be smaller than that and I suspect Ivey's is much smaller. Looking at the percentages would be interesting but I doubt anyone keeps track of all the times they entered but didn't cash.

I hate Phil Hellmuth with a passion. Seems very egotistical to post a fact sheet about yourself when your a poker player. I mean its not like hes looking for a job or anything. I hope to one day play at the same table as him and take his money. To make him lose his mind would bring me great joys.
