Wow. I feel sorry for him. I honestly do. Anyone who feels they have to do something like that has some serious self esteem problems, hardcore. I would not be surprised to find he cries himself to sleep at night. Anyone else notice how uncomfortable all those women looked? Anyway, I wouldn't have such a problem with it if he didn't act like an egotistical maniac all the time. I hope he finds happiness someday.

I don't believe Phil's entrance to the main event was his idea. It was staged by UB. He is the face of UB so showing him off in this way promotes the UB site. The hot chicks caught the eyes of the crowd more than Phil did.

Phil belongs in Vegas. Now imagine the ceremony if he were to actually win it all.

Altough at the tables when he is playing from what ive seen of him i really dont like his personality. Its okay to be upset when ur bad beat but he is so disrespectful at some times really makes me mad.

I don't really have feelings one way or the other about him. A large part of T.V. poker is entertainment. An important part of entertainment is staying known. By making a spectacle of himself (like many other entertainers do) Phil keeps himself in the poker conversation. Kudos to PHil or his advisers.

Lol, that was actually pretty funny, and I'm not a Phil fan. Plus he gets bonus points for those girls.

The only positives arising from this entrance are the girls that he enters into the Rio with.

Although not the reason I started playing poker (I played poker before Phil was born) but for sure a part of why my recent renewed interest in depositing and playing online poker.
I like Phil. I think he makes TV Poker just way more entertaining. Can you imagine what it'd be like to watch say Poker After Dark with 6 Allen Cunningham's?? It'd suck.. obviously. (although Allen is one of my favourite players).
I also like the way Phil flips out on his opponent's when they suckout on him.. and yah.. alot of them play real bad (are they intimidated by him?.. he's a frigg'n wuss when it comes right down to it.. one fist-fight in his entire life and ended with no scratches.. he's a big baby). My partner tells me that I remind her a bit of Phil Helmuth (how does she put up with me, lol) but also combined with 50% HowardLederer (yah, I'm a thinkin' kind of guy but a bit of a Whine-stein to be honest).

Classy Phil--I've always liked him and I understand his pain as I often have trouble dealing with bad beats. He definitely needs to work on his self control, but he is a fantastic player and this sort of thing cracks me up.

I agree the entrance and his antics are a bit much. But youre way off if you think he isnt any good. 11 Bracelettes and all in hold em. His cash game doesnt seem to be that of other pros but no one has more bracelettes, WSOP Cashes, and WSOP Final Tables than Phil. If your resume is better than that then youre a very rich man.
