Petition/Suggestion (US Players) Upon the upcoming requirements called for from the UGIEA to financial institutions about become strict and reporting possible internet gambling activity beginning December 1, 2009 as well as a message in another thread regarding a withdraw from Full Tilt Poker I have a potential answer. With options of cashouts being traced through banking activity from specific sites, checks deeming of a gaming site logo, or ID requirements through places such as western union it becomes a nerve-wracking experience every time a player withdraws. E-wallets are always an option but can be very expensive. My suggestion is for gaming sites to offer debit gift cards as a withdraw method. Ive emailed the suggestion to Full Tilt Poker in hopes they will consider the option. In the meantime I wanted to start a petition on whether or not players would consider the option upon withdrawl of funds. So if you support the cause I encourage you to share that in this thread with the reply of support as well as any other questions or concerns you may have. I beleive this is the option US players need to feel safe until the UGIEA ban is lifted.

Is this real that they are going to start demanding more compliance from financial institutions? I thought that the structure of the current law made it virtually impossible to oversee and force compliance on financial institutions. If so, that sucks. (Not that I play poker online in America...)

re: Petition/Suggestion (US Players) poker This is not something we need to worry about, The poker players alliance has a bill going before congress to extend the deadline for 1 more year , and has mutiple support in the house to define what is considered gambling..since poker is a game of skill versus a game of chance..and the revenue alone would make our government take notice!

When I first saw the word "petition" I thought of the Larry Johnson petition that KC Chief fans created, which seems to have been very effective. However, after reading the post, I'm thankful for the reiteration of the December 1 deadline info, which inspired me to pull some money off Carbon via check.
