Partypoker...scratching my head

Hello guys,

I have raised my eyebrows a few time at this. Anybody who plays at partypoker ever notice that about 95% of the time while playing that you win 2 in a row? I mean if you win the one hand, generally you win the next, then get shafted or teased there after.

Example- first hand I had KJ of diamonds and flopped a flush, and of course won. Next hand I was dealt 3,7 off and called the blind. Well, 3,3,10 flop, then a 7 on the turn. Won that as well. Then on third hand I get A,7 of diamonds and get two diamonds on the flop and have to call huge bets to chase that diamond, but never get it.

Well, I see this pattern every frickin time. But my all time favorite is when you have 2 pair(whether on the flop, turn or river) and it always loses to a straight, sometimes to a flush. That happens too me every single damn time. I just can''t believe the amount of times this has happened. I don't how many times I have folded two pairs recently, but I am glad I did cause I would have lost a ton of money. I have been playing cards for 27 years and never in live play have I seen this happen so often as it does on partyjoker.

Has anyone here had the same experiences as me or any theory too this? Thanks for reading my rant

I only played on Party a few times but I didnt really notice this. I havent noticed this at any of the sites I have played and would imagine you just noticed a few occasions where this happened

If this was the case, I am sure at least a few of party's 100,000+ players would have noticed this at some stage!

Welcome to the forum, btw

I use to play their a lot. But due to some of the odd things that went on at times, I no longer play at the site.

I haven't played @ party poker in a long time b/c of this!!! I used to play there all the time but it started to tease me by letting double my bankroll and then taking over half of it back!! Bastards!!! Everytime that I lost it was after I had the best hand and got rivered!! So I left party!! Good luck, maybe you should try a few other sites!!

I play at Party Poker extensively and there are times that I've found what you've said to happen. However, if you go to the Full Tilt boards, you'll see the EXACT same complaints. At the end of the day, why would PP or any other online site rig the results. They're obviously getting a fee or rake for every hand, why unecessarily piss off players giving you cash??

My theory on why you see this happen is because you're playing so many more hands online versus live that you're bound to see more exceptionally strange hands there.

Thanks for the welcome guys

I do play on pokerstars as well, and somewhat see a similar pattern, not the 2 winning in a row, but the 2 pair beaten by a straight alot.

Another thing that bothers me a lot at partypoker is that the amount of pocket pairs at the same time. For instance I had pocket Q's raised the blind 3x, then the guy next to me raises me 2x and the guy that only called the original blind doubled that, so I just was lik wtf and called and that guy next to me just went all in, and we all eneded going all in and found the guy next to me had KK and the other had AA. I see this way to many times as well. I see this on pokerstars too, but not as often. It just seems that everytime I score a high pocket pair someone else has them as well and better.

I play online because I love playing poker and its not everyday you can hold a poker game at your house or a friends and plus pretty its conveinent. I dunno, I win and I lose like anybody else, but also takes the fun out of cause you can almost predict whats going to happen and usually its not to my benefit.

One of the reasons i stopped playing there,(least not since there upgrade to there graphics, what a joke!) along with the constant bad beats and rude players. All i can say about Party Poker is to play very tight and let the loose players take themselves out.

I can't get into a game there, the freerolls are always full and I don't want to deposit until I see what kind of people I'm up against. I have a thumbs down on Partypoker.

I don't play at Partyjoker because I've heard too many bad things about it. I like Titan and a new site i4poker.com. i4poker has some good freerolls and not many players. Half the players aren't that good, so you should be able to pick-up some easy cash. If you don't mind, use my username if you check out i4poker. Wish you luck in the future whatever site you play.

The Party freerolls are easy enough to register for - you just need to register a few hours or so in advance... unlike the Pacific ones which fill up in under 2 minutes flat. Bad beats are part of having bad players, which is what you generally want... as for pocket pairs against pocket pairs, it's not that unlikely to be seen on a fairly regular basis, at a full-handed table. If they were occurring EVERY hand, then you'd get suspicious, but they don't.
