Paradise Poker Millions - Million Dollar Freeroll II

I'm sure most of you tried your luck at the first million dollar freeroll run by Paradise Poker.

The final 10 are in the process of being flown across the world to a "paradise island" to play for the million, live on TV.

Due to the popularity of this event Paradise are running a second million dollar freeroll, the same rules apply, you can have one go at qualifying in one of the many heats, and then you need 100 raked hands to play in each futher one.

The actual event takes place on 3rd December.

Good luck to you all, I'd love to see someone from here get into the final 10!

Thanks for the heads-up! I bombed out terribly on the first one so will give it another go. Not harboring any illusions that I'll be jetting of to "paradise" anytime soon but it never hurts to try.

1st = $1,000,000 (plus a free vacation for two to mystery tropical location)
2nd-10th = $10,000 (plus a free vacation for two to a mystery tropical location)

That's quite the pay jump right there. Imagine getting heads up and losing to a 2-outer... PERMANENT TILT!

yeah tried the first one, missed the cut by like 20 spots, was quite upset since i lost to some punk with a dumb hand but what can you do. Can't wait to give this one a go. Like Jerseykid, i will wait t'ill it dies down a bit and enter the 1am one where 20 spots makes the cut.
GL to all.

I played one of those and about 3100 players registered. Surprisingly, the tournament went faster than Absolute Poker's 2000 registered freeroll. On the paradise one, I placed 610th.

Yes, you're first go round is with no restrictions. After that you must earn 100 "Million Points" (playing real money games) to qualify for another heat. Nick's first post in this thread has a link that gives you all the details, or you can go to Paradise and click on the Million Dollar Freeroll link.

On my 2nd try I made it to 284, went all in with 20000 to try to steal the pot (30000) had 1 caller 77 and he beat my K J, ohwell it was time for bed anyway. The best thing was a guy with QQ folded.

I busted out in 40th place.
I'm short stack and I get dealt Pocket Kings and push all-in.
Chip leader calls with Pocket Threes
No help from the flop.
Turn and River both diamonds.
He beats me with a flush four from the board, I was spitting tacks.
Actually throw the computer chair across the room I was livered, stupid idiotic game.

But it was bloody good way to waste 4 hours of my day
As Nick said I hope someone from here gets to that final table

Thanks Boty,
Looking back at it,i had two lucky escapes when there were about 80 players left. I was in BB and everyone folded to SB and he had constantly been stealing my blind,i had K 9 suited and thought not this time pal! I re raised to 40k (blinds were 2/4k) He had me covered in chips. He ended up re raising putting me all in if i called. I decided to call as it could be a hand to make or break me, and K 9 against any random hand is 60% so i took my chances. He flipped over A 6 off and flop came Ah 10d 3c. I was drawing very thin and turn helped when it came 8h...i needed a h to stay alive and caught it for a runner runner flush. To say he was pissed off was an understatement. My other one was with 20 players left,i had 5 6 suited and everyone had folded to me with only 3 left to act. I moved all in for 90k and was called by a guy with K Q suited (same suit). Flop was 9 7 7. River was a 2 and i was drawing to ten outs and luckily caught a 6 on river. On Hindsight that was a bad play on my behalf,i had been folding a lot and thought maybe my tight image might buy me the pot.Apart from those two,i played very well, lost a huge pot towards end with QQ to 66 when he caught a diamond flush on river.Didn't see AA once but had KK twice and QQ twice.

Cant wait til December now (seems a long way away!!!).
John

I'll be watching ya mate.

I'm still spewing over busting out when I did. The runner runner flush sucks to lose to, especially when it's from four suited cards on the board! I think this million dollar freeroll is a fantastic concept, I hope everyone atless gives it a nudge!
