The Other Side
Does anybody else wish they had focused on computer programming as a teenager so that they could have made their own online poker room? I often find myself thinking of all the money these poker sites make from the rake. I wish i would have invested in pokerstars or something.

I used to program back in high school (one of my subjects). Why would I start making my own poker room when I can buy a ready made room with everything setup, unless I was going to make something totally different from the norm?

Sometimes, but only because most rooms don't have specialised games like Pineapple or Crazy Pineapple which I enjoy. And also that version of Omaha where 2 of the 4 hole cards are exposed, I'd like to have been able to make a poker room for those games.

Not all poker rooms are successful. It takes a great deal of time and investment to keep poker players happy and loyal. Think about what seperates FT/PS from lets say Bodog Poker?
