Online Poker on Iphone I have been the proud owner of an iPhone 3g for quite some time now. One day I was playing at Full Tilt while talking to someone on my iPhone and a wonderful thought crossed my mind. Wouldn't it be awsome if we could play from any online poker site from our iPhones? Well there are applications available for the iPhone that allow you to control your computer from the iPhone itself, But in order for this to work you have to keep your computer on and you can't travel very far from your computer or you will lose your connection. So I dream of the day that Apple gets together with online poker sites such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars and develop an application which would allow you to play with your real money account everywhere you go.

ive thought of this idea too but i just dont see it working out. You may be able to play ring games but i dont see how you be able to play more than one table at a time. Plus there are already sites like zyunga so they may not feel the need to make an app like full tilt or pokerstars for the iphone

You can configure your network up to allow remote connections to your computer from outside your network, so you'll be able to connect to your computer via Remote Desktop Protocol anywhere where you have internet (Edge or 3G, too). I remember playing a ring game at PS one time at an airport. A lot of the apps for RDP have gotten pretty sophisticated, so it's not that big of a stretch to play one game with ease.

At the end of the day.... It would never happen.... Most owner's of the iPhone are business user's. The iPhone is still very limited in the programming (My brother is programming business programs for the iPhone and hes got one and does not rate it!). He seems it up very nicely just one of them gadgets that everybody with money has.... Just do not think that mobile poker will every take off.... Because of the level of concentration and focus you need!

I've thought about that also, but it just wouldn't work. To be distracted and play online poker will not be a good thing. It will cost you in the long run. To say it would never happen is another thing. I can bet and watch the horse races from my iphone so I wouldn't put it past some site to make an app for the iphone. However I'm sure it would have to be play money until poker is legalized in the states.

It would b kool to play some cash games on a pokerstars app while sittin on the bus/train/bench and sounds like a good way to kill time if ur waiting for things. But the negative thing would u cud only realy play one table, ur not gonna get HEM or PT on ur iPhone and I doubts ur gonna want to play in a MTT for 8hours on ur iPhone lookin at a tiny screen will make ur brain frazzle. I'd rather stick to playin poker in a casino or playin at home on the computer when I can be more focused.

FWIW Cake Poker does have a direct app for play on a mobile phone but the phone has to be using Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher -- Im guessing IPhone doesnt. What else does my mobile device need in order to play? Cake Poker Mobile requires a connection to the World Wide Web directly from your phone to download the Cake Poker Mobile client and in order to play. Just like the desktop version of Cake Poker, you can play online via your device's network connection. Examples of possible connectivity options include: a 2G or 3G connection via your mobile provider's data plan, a WiFi connection, Bluetooth, or even a cabled direct link to your PC. Once your device can surf the web, it's ready for your to play Cake Poker! Cake Poker Mobile
