Online poker challenge from $2

So here's the go.
I can't deposit money from my account to Fulltilt or withdraw because I can't be bothered hehe.
So ive been trying to play freerolls to get some money in and start playing with something, so i decided to put myself up to a challenge:
Make at least 2 Dollars, start playing 1c/2c blind games until I make 500 times the next BB level.
(Basically using Negreanu's challenge).
Today I registered for the Australian 100 Freeroll.
Awsome start, out of 1500 people by the last 120 I was sitting on 5th with about 60K chips.
But I had to leave to go see my friend so i decided to be a prick and just exit so i was sitting out.
I came back a few hours later and saw 2 dollars in my account!!!
So ive started to play ring games and i'm currently sitting on 3.50 yay!
Ill keep everyone posted on how I go.
My ultimate aim is 1000 dollars.

I'll describe the my challenge:
Start with 2 dollars.
Make your way up to 500BB of the next level...in my case: $25.
Start playing the next level games. Then try and make 500 times the next BB level...in my case $50.
Keep going until I make $1000.

thats a start.. better than i could do.. most i ever get up to is 650-675 then i go on a 70-80$ losing streak and cash out... start all over again usually.. but good luck with that jump to 1000$

well i do deposit but when i lose it i play freerolls for a bit because i dont wanna put any more on. i usaly put 50 dollars on ever 1nce and a while but if i dont i usaly play in the 100 uk freeroll and other 100 freeroll i won the uk 1 1nce and the usual 100 dollar freerolls 1nce but l8ly i cant get any were in them.

i lost like 120 dollars on tue talk about bad luck i entered 24 dollar freeroll first hand hit kk other guy shows qq he hit runner runner to beat me with the flush

then i went in 6 dollar torney nd half way through it crashed so i turned me com off and on and i had like 150 chips left less than the bb

i just cant get any luck atm

good luck on the 1000 will take some time but all worth it if you do get there

Well poh, I am in the same situation as you are, but I do not feel like I can get up to that amount of money!!!... I will go ahead and play this challenge and see what happens... are you going to buy into the 1/2 cent games with the max amount? Or are you going to play for less?

2 dollards is not a huge bankroll as everyone already knows, so for that reason you will not be able to support bad streaks.. you are mention your 1.50 winnings however these doesnt mean anything, you can just lose all in one bad session. not pretend to offend you, buy do you really think seriusly to make a challenge at the tables with only 2 dollards?? why dont you better play the daily dollard whick just costs you a single dollard without any fee and more than 2000 dollards added to the pricepool? if you win you will have 1600 in your account... this challenge is much easier and only take a few hours if you are lucky enough!!

hehe, winning daily dollar is a way to long, long shot since we are talking about a field of more than 8k players.

i played some of them.. not very difficult to get deep in these tournament and yep the field is at least 7k players however there is added more than 2000 dollards to the pricepool whick is good to start a bankroll with a few dollards..

The best of luck to u poh, i've tried to get from $10-$500 and didn't make it. You need to play a lot of hand, and get dealt the deck. Hopefully u achieve ur goal, keep us updated.

Well guys i've had a few bad beats last night while i was playing at 2:30 am but now im comfortably sitting on $6.50 .
I only buy in the the 1/2 for 0.80 cents that way my mentality works to my advantage.
I'm not saying i'll make even 25 dollars really quickly i'm trying to be patient and slowly make my way up winning small pots.
If i can make 1 dollar every ring game I play, it will only take 25 games to reach the next level.
Last night I made over 4 dollars so that's 4 ring games I don't have to sit.

make a deposit and skip a few steps ,at least the first one ,too boring to play 0.02/0.04

My advice, place in some more freerolls so you have a better starting bankroll. In my experience the problem with these 1c/2c tables is that the risk/reward factor means nobody folds. Great, however, it means you often lose on the river to hands that might have folded in higher stakes games. Best of luck.

Good luck, but be prepared to bust a few times. Everyone does, even Chris Ferguson. You have to get lucky to make it (and of course you have to be able to beat the limits).

Well good luck!! If you got a small amount to start off play the 9 seater 1 cent 2 cent. Just play very very very tight.

But you should be perfectly fine !!

Hey there Poh, yesterday i cashed in a freeroll on pokerstars and got $1, then i played in a 1/2 cent table and and made $4.01 ($1+$4.01=$5.01). Then i had 5 dollars and played in a 25 cent SNG and got about $2.50 out of it and i had about $7. Then i played on another 25 cent SNG and only got 38 cent. So now i was up over just $7.25.

This morning i played .01,.10,.25 cent SNG's, i lost two .10 and one .25 cent SNG's, but i got .10 from the .01 cent SNG. LOL then i had $6.95, i decided to play in a freeroll while playing those SNG's and cashed for $1. Now i got $7.95 and hope to keep a good streak going.

Today i plan to get up to $15 if possible, $10 my min goal.

What limits are you playing?

Hey people thanks for all the interest, for those of you also doing a similar challenge ill make sure I check your progress too .
In my last post I said was sitting on $4.50...well unfortunately I did cop a few bad beats, 4 in a row to be exact.
1. Held AK (off), raise to 12 cents, 3 callers.
Flop A K 6. I bet 40 cents, 1 caller.
Turn was a Q. I pushed and someone called with K Q.
River came Q...very fustrating.
2. Pocket 6's raised 10 cents pre-flop. 1 caller.
Flop 2 J 6. Perfect. Bet 25 cents. Call.
Turn: Q. Push...Call. He turns over J 6 suited. River comes Jack.
So far thats $1.60 gone. so im sitting on 2.90
3. I limp in with 3 4 suited (hearts) 4 runners total.
Flop comes 4 6 k. I bet 15 cents and 2 people call.
Turn came a three. So I pushed and one called. He had A K.
I'm definately ahead with my two pair (3's 4's) but the river comes a 6 which gives him two pair (6's and K's) and undermines my two pair (4's and 6's).

Last bad beat wasn't really a bad beat. We both had pockets and we both hit. He had the higher pockets.
But due to that I am sitting on 1.30

thats much better than what i can do lol, the most i ever got to was 550 playing cash games, but would lose it All back in like the next 2 or 3 hours... each time i deposite somthing i would win a few tournament, maybe up to 100 or 150 dollars, but i would be stupid and go play the big cash in games and lose it all back to nothing.... i wish i was that dedicated =D

I've gone from $0 to ~$22 on Full Tilt in the past couple of months via freerolls. I haven't played any cash tourneys yet to see if I can work that total higher. Once I reach $30, I'll give it a shot.

That's unfortunate poh, maybe you should just play cheap SNG's because it seemed like you where doing well in em. Right now i've got my BR from $1-$11.48 and still on my run to $100. Wish me luck (my post is "ONLINE POKER CHALLENGE $1-$100").
