ONLINE POKER CHALLENGE $1-$100

Yesterday i cashed in a freeroll on pokerstars for only $1, and then decided to play in a cash game 1/2 cent omaha hi table. Early on that table i got a quick double up, then another big pot not to long from that. I was in btw $1.50-$2.75 for a long time then got a little streak going and came out of that table w/ $5.01.

Then i had $5 dollars and decided to play in two $.25 SNG's, cashed in both 2nd, and 7th. Then i finished the night w/ just over $7.25. In the SNG that i cashed in 7th, i was chip leader and got taken out right after the bubble for $.38. I just had bad beats on that table JJ(me) vs AK(all in pre-flop) , then i had AK(me) vs K5 and my opponent got a str8.

Today i started off playing a few SNG's .01,.10.,and a .25 cent SNG's. I only cashed on the .01 SNG for .10 cents, but i was also playing a freeroll and cashed for a dollar. At the moment i only have $7.95, and i'll be playing a few $.25 SNG, a PL omaha 1/2 cent table, and a few other freerolls.

My goal is to get to $100 in two months, and if i achieve that goal i'll set another goal. Maybe $100-$1000, I don't really have any rules. I won't be depositing any money, but i'll just mainly be playing 1/2 cent PL omaha table, and cheap SNG's.

Oh yea this sunday i got 4/5 tickets 20k freeroll finals, i hope to atleast make the in all 4, wish add's up to $40, i'm hoping to get atleast $100 out of all those freerolls. Wish me luck, i'll start building up BR tonight from $7.95-$15.00.

Well i'm just about done w/ this session, I started playing just about 11pm MT (2amET) and finished around 1:30am MT (4:30amET). I started out the night losing about $3 on Omaha 1/2 tables and a few SNG's. I cashed in a few SNG's but only made about $1.25 out of all of em which kind of sucks. Nothing i could do about those SNG's but on the Omaha tables i was getting very good hands but getting beat by small two pairs and lucky river's (suck outs).

When i was down to just over $4 in my BR, i decided to play another 1/2 Omaha table. Since my BR was low i only came in w/ $1 and got out w/ $5.15. In my Omaha session a made a $2.15 profit.

On the SNG's i played just about 6 of em, and just finished my last one not to long ago. I was doing great during the whole tournament, but made a mistake late in the tourney that almost cost me it. I was down to only 2BB (just over 400chips) and blinds where at 100/200. I was cripled but made a pretty nice comeback. I finished in 4th in that tourney(best all night) and got a little bit over $1 off of it.

With that 4th place finish on that SNG, I know have $11.48 and have passed the $10 mark. Tommorow I hope to have an easier time on the Omaha 1/2 cent tables and hit more flops. I'll try to reach atleast $15, but would really like to get $20.

Incase anyone was wondering what my user name on Pokerstars is, its "xtrmal". I'll be more than happy to have some of you guy's on this site/forum join me out there on the tables.

Thx to all of you, who have beem following me on my goal to get from $1-$100 in two months (August 26th) but i really believe i can achieve that goal in less time. I don't want to get ahead of myself so i'll just keep a steady BR and get $1-$5 a day, and hopefully $10-$20 a week.

Biggest win on my Omaha session last night (Day 2), played around 100 hands. I was stuck with an average of $2.50-$3.75 throu whole session.

This is like the Chris Ferguson challenge. It seems you are off to a better start than him. Look for the PPA $3500 freerolls to help add to your bank roll.

I'll probably won't be able to participate in them(PPA $3500), but i'll see what i can do. Well so far i've got BR up to $24 and getting closer to the $100. Well yesterday was a crazy day since i got my BR from $11.48-$17.25 then from $17.25-$9.25. I was angry when my BR wen under $10, but then decided to play in a 2/5 cent Omaha table and got my BR back over $15 with an $8 pot. After that i played a few SNG's and got my BR over $18. Today I got my BR to $24, I got $2 from a 1/2 cent table and $5 from a few SNG's.

By tommorow i hope to have atleast $25, but wan't to reach the $30 mark. I really think i can complete this challenge in a month.

Hey Keaton, maybe you can tell me more about the Ferguson challenge, I don't know much about it.

This is the $8 pot I won to get my BR from $9.45-$15+ on the 2/5 cent PL Omaha table. I put the raiser on Aces, so then I thought if i can just hit a two pair i'll get paid. Guess what exactly that happens.

But I just got to say I can't imagine the type of play at those stakes though, I haven't played on Pokerstars for a while but if its anything like the micro stakes at the other sites the play has got to be horendous and the suckouts rediculous.

I did something similar to this on FullTilt.

Unfortunately there aren't any micro sngs to play there but I got a huge boost by coming 2nd in a CC freeroll for $34 near the start of my challenge.

I just went on to play lots of $2.25 sngs and an odd $3.30 ko sng.

Got my br up to ~$150 before withdrawing some and trying to do it again.

Have found it really tough the second time around but I haven't been playing anywhere near my previous standard.

Last night I couldn't sleep and decided to play for a lil bit. I don't know why, but I was play 5/10 cent tables Omaha and Holdem. At first i made $26 so i said why not try a $3.25 SNG. I lost w/ Kings vs AJs, I was upset that i lost those $3.25 and decided to play two $1.10 SNG's. After getting down to about $20 i decided to play a few 5/10 cent table's and lost $5. Now i'm down to $15.25, and i'll try to get up to $20 today. I think i'm gonna stick w/ micro($.25) games until I reach $40/$50, then play $1.10 tables. I think I need to set my own rules.

Oh yea, on those 20K reload freerolls finals that I played in, I started out well in two of em horrible on the other two. Didn't cash in any, which really suck.

IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME A SET OF RULES TO FOLLOW W/ A $15 BR PLZ LET ME KNOW. I'LL TAKE ANY ADVICE/TIPS OR STRATEGIES I CAN GET.

good luck i gunna set myself a challenge but instead of strating from nothing im gunna deposit 40 next week and try make 40 into 200 bye playing small and built it up step bye step only playing in sngs and torneys and leaving the ring games alone because i think thats were im going wrong playing ring games just eaats at my stck from donk callin with 86 74 and so on and hitting just getting beond a joke

good luck man. im trying to get up to one hundred dollars by depositing nothing. So far ive only made 2 bucks but im entered in a one dollar tournament and hopefully i can cash and make some more money

goodluck with that and it is very hard to get something out of nothing ...i tried it ..goodluck and let us no how you do ...i always manage to get between 2-10$ in freerolls and then blow it within an hour lol , i have very horrible bankroll management and thats something i have to try to change if i want to make something out of this internet poker business lol

Hey there Ace, I have deposited a few times on pokerstars and lost it one day, but I don't normally last more than a week w/ a BR under $25. I lost the money so quick because I didn't know anything about BR management. I would be playing games that where more than 25% of my BR and lose. Wish you luck at your starting BR of $2.

Hey there Woody, I hope you start a forum and keep us updated. Good luck on you $40-$200 challenge, maybe you will do a better job w/ BR management. You might want to put a set of rules to your self so you don't go broke. I think it's a smart strategy to stay away from ring table's, and only play SNG's.

Well today I started off the day w/ $15 and have only boosted my BR to only over $16.50. I'm mainly going to focus on SNG's and hope to get back up to $25 again. I'll probably try to play a few 1/2 cent Omaha tables and hope to make about $2.50 from em today. WISH ME LUCK

Yesterday I got my BR back up to $20. Got over $2 from 1/2 cent Omaha table, and the rest on SNG's. I didn't really get any big hand's on the Omaha tables, only two that where over $1. I'll do my best to get my BR back up to $25 ASAP.

Today I decided just play in a 3k guaranteed tourney, but the prize pool was over 4.5k and and top 6 got over $100 for only $1 (1st over $550 ). Well I finished in 100th play and only got $5.90 ($4.80 profit), tommorow I hope to play in it again and hope to cash out in top 18 ($11-$550). I got knocked out that tourney K J vs J J , I should of folded K J out of position but was around 10BB left. Really needed to steal the blinds or something. FLOP WAS Q 10 10 and I shoved not the turn or river helped me and I got knocked out on 100th place. I think if I would of folded I would of made top 90 ($6.90), but I guess I lost my patience. I'm sitting on a nice BR over $38, and hope to get past $40 tonight.

The site that kills me is FTP, I just can't stand some of the people that play there. All in pre-flop w/ Q 3, 5 10, K 2, J 5 etc. I can only play FTP, probably for 1hr max because I just can't take dumb play like that. I hope I can get over $40 soon because i'm down to $32, been on a losing streak the last two day's. I really hope I can turn it around.

SORRY TO SAY BUT I WENT BROKE, I GOT MY BR UP TO $50 AND DUMPED IT ALL ON A FEW 10/25 CENT TABLES. THX FOR THE FEW PEOPLE WHO KEPT UP WITH THIS CHALLENGE. I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL TRY THIS CHALLENGE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, I'LL BE TAKING A BREAK FROM POKER FOR A FEW DAYS.
